DR. MOUSSA EL-HADDAD: Well, I am in the middle of Gaza City, in the heart of Gaza City, and the situation is indescribable. If this is not a holocaust, I don’t know what holocaust is. According to the news, they say almost 318 people are dead. The majority of those are civilians. At least 300 of them are civilians. And they say about 1,500 are injured, but a lot of them are seriously injured. The hospitals lack a lot of the necessary staff, instruments, even gauze and medicines, and everything is lacking. Physicians and nursing staff are working around the clock. People cannot find a place in the hospitals for treatment, injuries. And I am sure there will be a lot more of the dead under the rubbles of those buildings that were attacked and demolished. Every now and then, we hear a rocket attack or two. So, there are warplanes in the sky flying all over the time. As I speak to you now, I can hear them up in the sky, the pilotless jets and the warplanes, F-16s and God knows what. The warships in the sea are also attacking from the sea. And attacking who? Hamas? They are not attacking Hamas; they are attacking the people, the civilians. The civilians—I mean, I’m looking at the street right now, the main street of Gaza, Omar al-Mukhtar, and hardly you can see anyone walking there, because every single person is afraid. democracynow.org

On Dec. 23, 2008, activists held a press conference, at 12:30 PM, along with a picket line, in front of the Baltimore City’s Sheriff’s Office, at the main Court House, near the City Hall. They requested a halt, a moratorium, to all foreclosures and evictions in the city, and that the Sheriff’s Office follow the precedents established by the Sheriff of Cook County, Illinois, and the Sheriff of Philadelphia, PA, in this regard. The rally, with the temperature hovering in the low 20s, was led by the “National Network to Stop Foreclosures and Evictions.” The demonstrators also delivered a letter to the Sheriff’s Office setting out their views on the issue. For more background on this social justice cause, see: www.stopforeclosuresandevictions.org. A longer version of this press conference can be found on Google, at: http://video.google.com.

On Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008, activists from Code Pink staged a “Shoe-In” demonstration in front of the White House. The rally was in solidarity with Iraqi journalist, Montadhar Al-Zaydi. He recently tossed his shoes at Dubya, at a Baghdad press conference, held with the puppet Iraqi ruler, Nuri al-Maliki. Published reports indicate that Mr. Al-Zaydi, after his arrest, has been subjected to torture. For background, and updates, go to Code Pink’s web site, at: http://www.codepinkalert.org/.
Think you know who Blagojevich is? This is what he was doing just before they framed him. Blagojevich dared to speak the truth and demand justice, which in a completely corrupt system makes him the one sane man in an insane asylum.
“This is a afarewell kiss from the Iraqi people you dog! This is for the widows and orphans and those killed in Iraq!” Iraqi Journalist, Muntather Al-Zaydi yelled in Arabic as he hurled his shoes at George W. Bush on 12/14/2008, during an impromptu press conference in Baghdad.
Researchers from John Hopkins University in Baltimore and the Al Mustansiriya University in Baghdad published a study in 2006, financed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Center for International Studies, that estimates the illegal Iraq war had led to the deaths of 655,000 men, women, and children. A later study In September 2007 by the top UK polling organization, ORB (Opinion Research Business) estimated that up to 1.44 million Iraqis have died violently post-invasion, see: http://www.opinion.co.uk/Newsroom_details.aspx?NewsId=78
Bush and the neocons have committed numerous war crimes and grossly violated the Geneva Conventions through the use of torture and mass murder of civilians. They have used banned weapons such as cluster bombs and white phosphorus. They have committed crimes for which there are not yet laws written, crimes against the earth and the environment. The Bush administration has spread over 1000 metric tons of the deadly U238-isotope, America’s nuclear waste, over Iraq and Afghanistan, causing childhood leukemia and spontaneous abortions to become commonplace, dooming the people of both countries to endless suffering and premature death.
How to Get Out of the United States in 60 Days (with more than the clothes on your back)
By Ezekiel Jones
Things have reached the point in the U. S. where people in target groups should be making plans to emigrate. This is an under-discussed, almost taboo topic that needs to be highlighted now before it's too late.
How much difference can 60 days make? Here's what happened in Germany in the first 60 days after Adolph Hitler, head of a minority party, was appointed Chancellor of Germany. http://www.thepeoplesvoice.org
What if Canada has fallen? The neocons could be preparing to execute a second 9-11 event in America. How many thousands could die at their hands this time? What city will they choose to destroy? Obama has probably been given the word: Be a willing participant or be eliminated. Take note that Chaney has been very quiet, probably very busy for the past few months. Could he be helping to orchestrate the world financial collapse, and planning the next horrific event that will facilitate the takeover of Mexico and Canada?

On Wed., Dec. 10, 2008, a demonstration at the Bank of America (BOA) was held in downtown Baltimore, MD. It was led by activists from the All Peoples Congress, among other groups. The purpose of the protest was to show solidarity with the 200 “Sit-In” Republic Windows and Door Workers of Chicago, Il, whose plant has been shut down. The BOA canceled the company’s financing. Its action left the workers without any severance and vacation pay. Critics are insisting that the BOA should use some of the billions of dollars it received in a recent federal-taxpayers-funded bailout to help the workers. The BOA, in turn, blames the company for this situation. For background, see: http://www.ueunion.org/uenewsupdates.html?news=430 and http://www.counterpunch.org/sustar12092008.html. At the heart of this problem is the out sourcing of U.S. jobs, via so called “Free Trade” agreements, which have been endorsed by Conservatives, like Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah); and Liberals, such as Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-MD). It is time to “renegotiate NAFTA” and for the Labor Movement to lead that charge. Check out: http://www.economyincrisis.org/ and http://www.renegotiatenafta.org/?q=node/11. Activists underscored their demand that the federal government “bailout workers” and not the Wall Street banksters and “to stop the plant closings.” Source: http://www.pephost.org/site/DocServer/Republic_workers_flyer.pdf?docID=6841.

On Sept. 10, 2008, the Charles Theater, in Baltimore City, presented a special showing of the award-winning David Earnhardt’s documentary, “Uncounted.” This riveting film showed how election fraud, via easily manipulated electronic voting machines, along with other dirty tricks, dramatically changed the results of the 2004 election; and led to even more of the same kind of underhanded conduct in the 2006 election. Kevin Zeese, Executive Director of True Vote, spoke after the film was shown. He told the large audience that that a “well-informed public will be the first line of defense against election fraud in 2008.” The showing of “Uncounted” was cosponsored by the ACLU and True Vote. The latter’s web sites can be found at: http://www.truevote.us and http://www.truevotemd.org. To learn more about the movie, “Uncounted,” check this site out: http://www.uncountedthemovie.com. Mr. Earnhardt spoke before Mr. Zeese. He said the film has been shown in “36 other cities” across the nation and that people need to become aware of the dimensions of the problem and then do everything that they can do to preserve “the integrity of the election process.”

On Nov. 26, 2008, activists rallied in front of the White House, at 8 AM, to spotlight the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Israeli-Occupied Gaza. President George Bush plans this morning to pardon two turkeys in honor of Thanksgiving Day. Meanwhile, the desperate people of Gaza are trapped in borders “sealed” shut by the Israeli Occupation Army. According to the sponsoring group’s press release: “As a result of Israel’s closure, the UN has been forced to stop food distribution to 750,000 needy people, and 70 percent of Gaza is without power.” Over 1.5 million people live in Gaza, many of them displaced refugees from the 1948 War. “Half of Gaza’s population is under the age of 15.” Under the terms of the Geneva Convention, and other key provisions of International Law, the Collective Punishment of a people is “a War Crime.” The press release from the “Coalition for Justice and Accountability,” underscores the “contrast in American policy between fowl livestock and starving children.” The U.S. taxpayers continue to subsidize Zionist Israel, and its occupation of the Palestinian people, to the tune of billions of dollars every year.
