THE ANACHRONISTIC ACTS OF THE WACK A DACKS

June 15th, 2009

William C. Carlotti

"There is no doubt that there are wack a dacks in this world that
emerge as anachronistic expressions of anti-semitism. An occasional
zwastika on a synagogue, vandalism in a Jewish cemetary, etc., etc."

Systemic anti-semitism no longer exists in United States society---not politically, not economically, not philosophically, not academically. Its anachronistic expressions in various venues are akin to a regurgitation of the earth as the center of the universe that haunted Copernicus and nearly got Galileo at the stake; or the flat earth postulations as they were promoted by the Christian monk Cosmos Indicopleutes.

As a matter of fact, if we examine all of those matters that would be the practical effects of anti-semitism we find that they simply do not exist. Some few examples of the many that can be cited about government, about academia, about think tanks ---The median income of the Jewish community is higher than the median income of the rest of our population. The median income in the United States is about $25,000 a year. That means that one half of all Americans earn more than that, and one half earn less. The median Jewish American income is double that, i.e., $50,000 a year. About 40% of American High School graduates go to college. However, 85% of Jewish American high school graduates go to college. There are 13 Jewish members in the United States Senate and 30 Jewish members of the United States House of Representatives.

More importantly if we examine the industry where the possibility exists that pimping for the scapegoating of our Jewish population could take place (as the industry did and is doing to support the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq and the support for the Israeli invasion and absorption of the Palestine beyond its borders) we find that Jewish Americans have had an astounding success in owning the most significant segments of the conglomerates of the mass media industry.

The last time I looked at it there is Murray Rothstein, owner of CBS, MTV, LOGO, Blockbuster Video, Paramount and Dreamworks Stidios; there is Edgar Bronfman Jr. Principal holder of Warner Corp., whose media venues include NBC Television, Turner Broadcasting, CNN, Warner Chappell Music, AOL, Time Magazine; there is Jeff Zucker, President and CEO of NBC Television; there is Michael Eisner, former CEO of of Walt Disney Company, Principal holder of Capital Cities which owns ABC Television; there is Rupert Murdoch (Jewish mother) who owns Fox Television, TV Guide, Twentieth Century Fox, Wall Street Journal, New York Post, and the London Times; there is Peter Chernin CEO of Murdoch’s News Corporation; there is Mortimer Zuckerman, owner of US News and World Report and the New York Daily; there is Donald E.Graham, Chairman of the Board of the Washington Post; which owns Newsweek; last but not least there is Arthur Ochs Sulzberger that controls The Times Company that publishes the New York Times, the Boston Globe, the International Herald Tribune and sixteen other newspapers.

Systemic anti-semitism was strangled, choked, slaughtered and its rotting corpse buried by the Civil Rights Movement led by the African Americans of the 1960’s in the United States---the country club restrictions of Jews, the Jewish quotas at the elite colleges and in academia, the restrictions to Jewish employment in all the levels of banking and insurance and Wall Street, the housing restrictions against Jews, the restrictions against Jews in all the professions---law, medicine, engineering, the restrictions against Jews in all the branches of government, military, legislative, judicial and administrative---all gone.

As a consequence of the Civil Rights movement all of these anti-semitic restrictions have ceased to exist while the refutations and denunciations against the ideological, philosophical, and academic expressions of anti-semitism have flourished. As a matter of fact, in the context of the existing United States political, economic, philosophical, ideological, and media milieu the expressions of anti-semitism are leaves in a whirlwind, farts in a windstorm.

Written opposition to anti-semitism , however, are thunderous proclamations, a drum roll that is ever present in our milieu --organizationally, politically and financially supported by 52 organizations of the Jewish community represented by the Organization of the Presidents of Jewish Organizations in the United States and tirelessly enunciated by the Anti-Defamation League.

There is no doubt that there are wack a dacks in this world that emerge as anachronistic expressions of anti-semitism. An occasional zwastika on a synagogue, vandalism in a Jewish cemetary, etc., etc.-individuals that have become obsessed with fantasies like the one that took a shot at Reagan or the one that shot Robert Kennedy or the one that shot Martin Luther King or the youth that shot all those students in Columbine or the pair that traveled around in a car taking random shots at people or the one that situated himself in a tower and randomly shot passerbys.

The point is that there are individuals or even groups of individuals that display the characteristics that the shooter at the museum displayed but they do not represent a systemic societal manifestation--except, of course, there are assertions about the prevalence of societal manifested violence like the United States murder of a million civilians in Iraq or the brutal Israeli assault on the defenseless population of the Gaza sector of Palestine.

The thunderous response in the conglomerate media and the general response from the public to the singular event at the Holocaust Museum, out of the thousands of murderous events taking place in the country that could have been reported, is the living proof of the fact that anti-semitism has been destroyed, defeated, crushed as a systemic societal characteristic in the United States.

Systemic anti-semitism is dead and buried in the United States and it was the African American people antecedent to the likes of Barack Obama that made it happen.

What is left is the anachronistic acts of the wack a dacks.
