British pro-Israel Jewish newspaper launches attack on Middle East news website

Redress Information & Analysis

Attack by Zionist Jewish Chronicle could be the start of an Israeli smear campaign.

Redress Information & Analysis calls on its readers to support the Middle East Online website, which is facing a smear campaign led by the British pro-Israel newspaper, the Jewish Chronicle.

Something rather strange – or sinister – is happening at the British Jewish newspaper, the Jewish Chronicle.

Over the past few days the Jewish Chronicle has begun to single out websites that criticize the State of Israel and its pernicious ideology, Zionism. This is rather odd, you might think, coming at a time when the world is beginning to wake up to the criminal, racist nature of the Jewish state and the fraudulent, underhand activities of its stooges and agents of influence around the world – the lies, the disinformation and the purchase of foreign politicians and media figures.

On 1 December, we wrote a post on the blog of the US-based website What Really Happened saying that the Jewish Chronicle appears to have become unhinged by an article published by the Israeli-born musician and writer Gilad Atzmon in which he viewed how Israel propagandist David Aaronovitch is whipping up British public opinion against Iran in a manner that is reminiscent of his role in advocating war on Iraq.

Mr Atzmon’s article was first published on his own website and subsequently republished by a number of other websites, including What Really Happened, our own Redress Information & Analysis and Middle East Online.

For those of you who don’t know, David Aaronovich is listed by the Israel Hasbara Committee – Israel’s international propaganda network – as one of its authors. He also writes for the Jewish Chronicle and the London Times.

In our posting of 1 December, we said that although Mr Atzmon’s article had been completely kosher, the Jewish Chronicle, had become so incensed by it that it had contacted several website editors to try to bully them into removing the article. We also noted that this was perplexing because the Jewish Chronicle was mentioned only once in Mr Atzmon’s article, in connection with fact that one of its writers, Nick Cohen, encouraged the war on Iraq – together with Aaronovich.

On 3 December, we learnt that the Jewish Chronicle had decided to fire the first shots at the Middle East Online. In a bizarrely accusing tone, it said that the Middle East Online “has become a new source of anti-Zionist and pro-Iranian polemicism” and that lately the site had “increasingly highlighted the Israel-Palestine conflict” and published articles by “stridently anti-Israel” authors. Among these it mentioned Mr Atzmon and Stuart Littlewood.

It is possible that the Jewish Chronicle has taken a giant leap from reality, in that who but the most warped and prejudiced would think that criticism of Israel and Zionism, or that highlighting the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, are reasons for criticism? It is also possible that Britain’s Jewish mouthpiece has become desperate, seeing that the tide of public opinion is turning against the racist State of Israel, its criminal activities, and its infiltration and sabotage of other countries’ governments, notably the US and Britain.

Indeed, the past few weeks have seen Israel and its stooges in Britain exposed in two ground-breaking programmes broadcast by Channel 4 TV – Dispatches’ “Inside Britain’s Israel lobby” and Unreported World’s “The battle for Israel’s soul”.

However, the targeting of Middle East Online could also be the start of a new Israeli-sponsored campaign to smear online media that dare to challenge the racist Zionist entity and its stooges and agents of influence around the world.

We therefore urge all who love justice and freedom of expression and oppose racism and bigotry to express their support for Middle East Online and to highlight the role of the Jewish Chronicle as one of the racist State of Israel’s agent of influence in Britain.

Please write to the editor of Middle East Online to voice your support for the website and to encourage him to remain steadfast in the face of the bullying of Israel’s stooges and mouthpieces. Freedom of speech is a universal and inalienable human right and is not the preserve of “God’s chosen people”. Click here for the contact details of Middle East Online.

At the same time, let us keep our sights on the Jewish Chronicle and its ilk. It is enough of a humiliation and national shame for Britons that their elected politicians have been literally bought by a foreign state – Israel – and that its most important security bodies are headed by Israel flag-wavers. To add insult to injury, the British media, notably the BBC, are well and truly in the deadly embrace of the Jews-only state.

Don’t let Israel’s sinister mouthpieces snuff out the few sparkles of free speech on the internet.
