America is a Military State

February 17th, 2011

Americans are walking around with blinders. The current government is no different than the government that preceded it. The country is involved in a myriad of ground actions in countries across the globe. One must wonder if World War II ever ended. We spend an inordinate amount of our nation’s budget on weapons of war, at the expense of a crumbling infrastructure and rampant unemployment. What I want to know is if this is the proper way to spend the budget money we have? I think not.

Where are the citizen’s that realize that we spend far too much on our military? Have they bought into the myth that there are clandestine enemy’s seeking our demise? We can’t even find these so called jihadists that threaten our way of life. This is all a scam to broaden our military capabilities to gain world hegemony. For those that don’t know what that word means:

“Hedgemony is the political, economic, ideological or cultural power exerted by a dominant group over other groups. It requires the consent of the majority to keep the dominant group in power. While initially referring to the political dominance of certain ancient Greek city-states over their neighbors, the term has come to be used in a variety of other contexts, in particular Marxist philosopher Antonio Gramsci's theory of cultural hegemony. The term is often mistakenly used to suggest brute power or dominance, when it is better defined as emphasizing how control is achieved through consensus not force.[2] Wikipedia’”

This is what the United States seeks. One of the reasons that we need to do this is because multi-national corporations have outsourced American manufacturing to the point where we have become a service economy that produces almost nothing except weapons of war. Our steel industry has been moved to other countries. We hardly manufacture any of the goods we use. We produce great aircraft carriers, but how does that help the average family?

This country lives in an aura of fear. The government is constantly raising the threat level, telling us that a “terrorist” attack is imminent. This is hogwash. They have no more idea what the terrorists are planning than you or I. That is if there are any so-called “terrorists” left.

The United States has a plan that has been going forward for years. We have managed to encircle both China and Russia. The former states of the USSR are now either full-fledged NATO members or are members in the “Partnership for Peace” program. Just imagine the two nations that have been encircled by NATO. How would that add to your idea of security? For the first time the United States has a “First Strike” capability to strike the Russians with nuclear weapons. This is a democratic country that has forgone Communism. Why are we so belligerent towards them?

China is our largest trading partner. Why is our military encircling them? If World War III breaks out it will be because of the actions of the United States and its NATO lackeys. We are the responsible party. The war in Afghanistan is primarily a ploy to put an oil and gas pipeline that will circumvent the Russian pipeline that now supplies oil and natural gas to Western Europe. It’s called the TAPI Pipeline which stands for Turkestan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. Taking Russia’s economic clout from Western Europe will weaken the Russians. It’s all part of a plan, a plan that exasperates world insecurity.

Getting back to our manufacturing capacities, just what would we do if we were caught in a major war? Where would the manufacturing infrastructure come from? Could we rely on China to make our Humvees as they do now? Where would the steel production come from? We are an innovative people, but when our steel plants are rusted, outmoded and useless, where will it come from?

We need a change of thinking by the American people. Our very future is at risk. The government can no longer expand the military at the cost of medical care, housing, infrastructure and innovation that will transform our cities. Both the Democrats and Republicans are controlled by the Pentagon and the military lobbyists. I’ve said this before but it is worth mentioning again. We spent 47% of the World’s military expenditures. China spends 7%, Russia spends 6% and Iran only 2%. Think about that. Think about the country you pledge allegiance too. Then think again.
