Proof of Turkish False Flag - Erdogan Hail Mary

March 27th, 2014

Michael Collins

erdogan2Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's government was caught planning a false flag attack on ISIL rebels in Syria according to audio recordings (with translation) released today on YouTube. Erdogan warned Syria that any attacks on the shrine to an 11th century religious figure revered by Turks would cause a military response by Turkey. The shrine is located just inside Syria on the border with Turkey. There are no reports that any party in Syria has attacked the shrine. (Syrian False Flag, Mar 24)

A false flag operation could mobilized much needed support for Erdogan's Justice and Development Party (AKP), which is facing major challenges in March 30 local elections. Since December 17, audio tapes of secret wiretaps exposed criminal behavior by Erdogan and his cronies. The PM's response has been varied but a clue to the desperation came when Erdogan said that he would be vindicated of all charges when his party received an endorsement from the people in the elections, now just days away.

Today's Zaman reported:

In the voice recording [Turkey's] Foreign Minister …, National Intelligence Organization (MİT) Undersecretary …, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary … and Deputy Chief of General Staff Gen. are heard discussing possible intervention into Syria and possible reactions from the world.

"An operation against ISIL has international legitimacy. We will define it as al Qaeda. There are no issues on the al Qaeda framework. When it comes to the Suleyman Shah tomb, it's about the protection of national soil," a voice presented as that of foreign ministry undersecretary Feridun Sinirlioglu says. Turkey says Syria security leak 'villainous' as YouTube blocked, Today's Zaman, Mar 27

The audio tape of a secret wiretap was broadcast by agitpapa on YouTube.. After Twitter served as the medium for most leaked audio tapes, the PM banned the service. He may now follow through on threats to ban YouTube after today's release.

On March 24, I suggested the likelihood of a false flag:

The Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan (left), is a desperate man. He faces a test of his government in the March 30 local elections in Turkey. If his party candidates (AK Party) fail to maintain their current standings, the PM will face a loss of his tyrannical power. If the AK Party results for mayoral and other local offices drop significantly, Erdogan could soon face prosecution for massive corruption. Syrian False Flag - Turkey's PM is Desperate, thepeoplesvoice.org, Mar 24

Erdogan is cornered. His AK Party needs to outperform expectations in the local elections or he will lose support and the ability to manhandle the Turkish courts and police to avoid investigation and prosecution. If the AKP dips below the 2009 local election results or worse, those offended and harmed by the Erdogan onslaught of character assassination and crushing use of raw power will rally and demand investigation and prosecution.

What does a national leader do when his false flag operation is revealed in audio recordings?

Erdogan may well need to resort to the tried and true method of preserving power -- election fraud. Absent a successful theft of the election, it may be time for Erdogan to seek exile in Sudan, a suggestion offered by the main opposition CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

Turkish local elections are on March 30.

END

Update: Here are two translations of the entire audio file concerning the false flag. The first is from Tyler Durden at Zero Hedge and the second, with some interesting nuances, from Sam Hardy at Conflict Antiquities. The best up-to-date coverage of the March 30 elections and false flag scandal can be found at these English language Turkish newspapers: Hurriyet Daily News and Today's Zaman.
