The Truth About The Ukrainian Crisis That Holds True For Any Crisis

September 25th, 2014

Roman Marshanski

I refuse to take sides in this conflict. I believe both sides are liars. When I say "both sides", I mean West and Russia. I refuse to include Ukraine in this equation. I will explain why.

Ukraine cannot sustain itself without external support. So whoever gets to support it gets to control it. Therefore, regardless of who wins in Ukraine, this country is not going to be a truly independent nation in the foreseeable future. It's policies will depend either on West or Russia for a long time to come.

You may have recoiled when I called both sides liars. I understand why. But I also understand why you should not. If you don't like my explanation, I would still respect your dislike though. Perhaps your dislike is a well-masked sign of approval.

If you did recoil at me calling both sides "liars", you likely identify with the people of one of these countries. But the events that are happening there have little to do with the people themselves. They have to do with the aggressive factions of people who are in the minority. The problem is, those people in the minority have seized commanding posts at both sides of the conflict. So now you have a country divided by its minorities.

You may discredit my argument from the previous paragraph by giving some statistical data that would prove that the latest poll indicates "this and that, that the majority want this, or that, or whatever the heck it may be". Why am I calling all this important data "this and that... or that, or whatever the heck it may be"? Is it because I don't know better words?

The last one was a joke. The serious part is that all these so-called polls and surveys are the least accurate science called "statistics". Someone else before me said that. But everything has already been said, so I refuse to dig up the exact quote.

But even if statistical data about majorities holds true - as it usually does - then comes the more important question. Did these people really think with their heads? Or were they forced to adopt certain beliefs for fear of being disenfranchised?

Forget about statistics. Think not about populations but governments. Unfortunately, they control the nations people live in, not people themselves. If you do so, you may understand the reason I am calling both sides "liars".

I am calling both sides "liars" because the big guys at the top could never rise that high without a great deal of lying, at least in politics. Taking this conclusion a little further, it becomes clear that everything you hear on the news is likewise a big lie, regardless of whether it comes from Russian, American, or European mass media. This is so for two reasons.

Reason #1 for why everything you hear in the news is a lie
News are for the most part an interpretation of politicians' words. We all know that politicians cannot be trusted. Therefore, what you hear on TV is an interpretation of lies. It does not have a slightest particle of truth, except for its headline. But even that small particle of truth is often manipulated into a big lie.

Hitler has put it best: "The bigger the lie, the more people will believe it." However evil he was, he was successful in manipulating millions of Germans to succumb to his will. Everything that is happening shows that the powerful people of today are using this knowledge to gain even more power. They can be stopped only if they are shown for what they are. So I congratulate you, you have taken the first stop to stop them.

Reason #2 for why everything you hear in the news is a lie
Mass media are supported by advertising, which means they do their best not to offend any of their corporate advertisers. But what if some of these corporate advertisers have sponsored a certain political candidate? You know what happens. You are manipulated by the result of it on a daily basis, if you believe what you hear.

Applying this conclusion from a bigger picture to Ukrainian crisis, we come to conclusion that no people - either Russian, Ukrainian, or American - are to blame for this crisis. The only ones to blame are the politicians. So avoid taking sides and let them bite each other. Dogs always will.

I also invite you to check out my site, where I make no pretense to be either truthful or accurate. Everything you will find there is a big lie. But I make no attempt to hide it. I call it "satire". But it has a word or two that are actually true, a lot more than you would find on TV. Also, if you love being spied on by Twitter, follow me there. I occasionally tweet stuff that consists purely of lies. So if you watch TV you will love it.
