America never was beautiful. Less than ever now during harder than ever hard times since the Great Depression.

Permanent wars on humanity at home and abroad. Bipartisan defense of wealth, power and privilege at the expense of beneficial social change.

Obama's State of the Union address combined demagogic rubbish, duplicitous boilerplate, pure fantasy, colossal arrogance, and a contemptible assertion of US supremacy.

"…America stands strong and united with our allies," he said. Leading "with persistent, steady resolve."

By bullying other nations to accept Washington rules. Waging war on humanity. Ravaging and destroying one nation after another.

Turning them to rubble. Murdering millions. Immiserating countless millions more.

Making the world safe for monied interests. Deplorable for most others.

A previous article debunked Obama's phony middle class tax relief plan. A throwaway proposal. A disingenuous one with no chance for enactment.

Boastful empty rhetoric to boost his sagging approval rating. Polar opposite his agenda so far.

Serving monied interests at the expense of popular ones. Force-feeding austerity at a time half the population is impoverished or bordering it.

Homelessness and hunger at unprecedented levels in modern times. Growing millions need government aid increasingly disappearing. Throughout 14 new millennium years.

For sure no change forthcoming with Obama governing with majority bipartisan anti-populist House and Senate members. Along with supremely pro-privilege federal courts.

Public and private gangsters run America. Crooks. Miscreants. Thugs. War criminals. Fundamentally against peace, equity and justice.

Devoting its resources for corporate handouts and war-making. Increasingly eliminating America's social contract. Making the nation more than ever unfit to live in.

Obama's "growing economy" claim is pure fantasy. Nearly one-fourth of working age Americans unemployed. Millions longterm.

Most others way underemployed. Earning poverty or sub-poverty wages. Increasingly on their own for vital services government and business once provided.

Wages are stagnant. Declining when inflation adjusted. Most high pay/good benefit jobs are gone. Offshored to low-wage countries. Rotten ones replaced them.

Obama lied claiming "(t)he shadow of crisis has passed. At this moment, with a growing economy, shrinking deficits, bustling industry, and booming energy production - we have risen from recession freer to write our own future than any other nation on earth."

Reality is polar opposite. Paul Craig Roberts calls America's economy "a house of cards."

The American dream is pure fantasy. You have to be asleep to believe it, said the late George Carlin.

Democracy is a convenient illusion. Money-controlled duopoly power runs things. Popular interests go begging.

Wars on humanity continue. Expect more of the same ahead. Obama's claim about "respect(ing) human dignity" flies in the face of reality.

So is his Big Lie about "prohibit(ing) torture…" It continues on his watch. At US global black sites. Out of sight and mind.

Guantanamo the ugly tip of the iceberg. A previous article called it a symbol of America's depravity.

"…I've…ma(de) sure our use of new technology like drones is properly constrained," said Obama.

Drone killings on his watch exceed all his predecessors combined. The vast majority of victims are noncombatant civilians. Murdered in cold blood.

No "constraints" whatever exist. State terrorism is official US policy. War on humanity persists. Threatening to destroy it altogether.

Obama asked Congress to authorize unconstrained war on terrorists. The same ones America recruits, funds, arms, trains and directs.

Including mercenaries like Blackwater USA (now called Academi). Its original name too tainted to continue using. Its killer tactics no different from earlier.

America uses death squads as proxies against independent countries. Ones targeted for regime change.

Syria and Ukrainian Donbas freedom fighters notably in the eye of the storm. US-supported genocidal wars target them.

Big Brother is more intrusive than ever. Obama lied claiming "our intelligence agencies have worked hard…to increase transparency and build more safeguards against potential abuse."

On January 20, AP headlined "Government health care website quietly sharing personal data."

With "private companies. (Ones) specializ(ing) in advertising and analyzing Internet data for performance and marketing."

Shared information includes age, income, ZIP code, smoking and pregnancy status.

As well as computer users' Internet addresses able to identify them by name and address when combined with other information collected.

At issue are significant privacy rights. Covertly sending vast amounts of personal information to private companies is especially troubling.

Every healthcare.gov account is compromised. Private companies use personal information for profit they have no business having in the first place. Washington permits it on Obama's watch.

Expect repressive US legislation following mid-February Washington summit discussions on Countering Violent Extremism.

Other policy initiatives inimical to free society norms and standards. Growing tyranny fast replacing them. Fundamental freedoms on the chopping block for elimination altogether.

"We're upholding the principle that bigger nations can't bully the small - by opposing Russian aggression, supporting Ukraine's democracy, and reassuring our NATO allies," claimed Obama.

No nation bullies others more than America. Notably on Obama's watch. No Russian aggression exists. Or is any planned.

US-installed Ukrainian fascists mock democratic rights. Systematically destroying them in plain sight. Tyranny replacing them.

Waging premeditated dirty war on their own people. Murdering defenseless men, women and children. Obama's new friends are cold-blooded killers.

Ruthless fascists in Europe's heartland. Challenging Russia recklessly. Risking direct confrontation. The unthinkable potentially if not stopped.

Obama asked "both parties to give (him) trade promotion (fast track) authority to protect American workers, with strong new trade deals from Asia to Europe that aren't just free, but fair."

Rubbish! He wants freedom/ecosystem destroying Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) provisions crammed down the throats of an unsuspecting public.

Stealth corporate coup d'etat rules. A neoliberal ripoff. Anti-labor. Anti-environment. Anti-consumer. Anti-democratic.

One-size-fits-all rules benefitting corporate giants. Potentially at the expense of ordinary people everywhere.

Especially if the Transatlantic Free Trade Agreement (TAFTA) is adopted. Public Citizen (PC) calls it a deal "chill(ing) protections on both sides of the Atlantic."

PC calls TPP NAFTA on steroids. A trade deal from hell. TAFTA its US/European counterpart.

Obama wants America alone writing global trade and other rules. "We should write" them, he asserted. Other countries don't matter.

Washington wants planet earth colonized. Space dominated. Global resources plundered for profit. Total information control.

Populations exploited. Neoserfdom institutionalized. Big Brother watching everyone.

Tyranny replacing democracy. Freedoms entirely eliminated. Business as usual more than ever.

On steroids like never before. Societies everywhere made unfit to live in. America's abysmal state spread worldwide.

A Final Comment

Corporate media scoundrels didn't surprise. New York Times editors were like most others.

Ludicrously saying Obama "sen(t) a simple, dramatic message about economic fairness…" A plan "to raise wages and increase jobs."

"By simply raising the plight of the middle class (and, looming behind it, the larger issue of economic inequality), he has firmly inserted issues of economic fairness into the political debate."

Progressives in and out of government hammered on this issue for decades. Notably during new millennium years.

Claiming Obama supports social justice flies in the face of reality. He's pro-business, pro-war, anti-populist, anti-labor, anti-democratic rights.

Don't expect Times or other MSM editors to explain.
