Fascism: Humanity's Scourge

March 12th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

It gave us Hitler and Mussolini. Today it's headquartered in Washington - with global client states run by puppets serving US interests.

Subservient Western countries recklessly support America’s imperial agenda. Fascist regimes combine perpetual wars with corporate empowerment, massive corruption and police state harshness.

Ukraine is in the eye of the storm. It's a cancer in Europe's heartland. It's terrorizing millions of Ukrainians deserving better. It risks potentially catastrophic European war.

Last year, Donbass residents rebelled. They reject fascist viciousness. They want democratic freedoms everyone deserves.

They merit universal support. Obama wants them crushed, eliminated altogether - mass slaughtered and destroyed or ethnically cleansed.

Full-scale war could resume any time. Millions of people are at risk. Regional devastation already is the greatest since WW II.

Imagine how much worse if fascists launch total war. Obama's neocon infested administration bears full responsibility. Rogue EU partners share it.

Illegitimate fascist thugs runs Ukraine. Anything goes is policy. Regime opponents are ruthlessly targeted. Media are state controlled.

Outrageous propaganda substitutes for real news, information and analysis. On March 11, state news agency Unian claimed Putin may launch European war.

No world leader anywhere goes more all-out for world peace, stability and mutual cooperation. He wants Ukraine's conflict resolved diplomatically.

Unian cites former Lithuanian hardline President Vytautas Landsbergis bashing Russia irresponsibly. He ludicrously praised Boris Yeltsin's hugely corrupt regime.

He outrageously calls new millennium years a "period (of) Putin wars. And this is only the beginning," he blusters.

If European war erupts, Washington will bear full responsibility. Russia will be victim, not perpetrator. All battleground states will suffer hugely.

If nuclear war erupts, all bets are off. Europe could be turned to smoldering rubble. Why leaders like Merkel and Hollande perhaps have second thoughts about supporting Washington's war machine.

Eastern European states are run by convenient US stooges. They recklessly risk survival. Millions of lives are at stake.

Fascism is a humanity destroying scourge. Free societies reject it. So do ordinary people wanting democratic rights.

Natalya Poklonskaya is Russian Crimean Republic chief prosecutor. She rejected Kiev's fascist regime.

She said "(a)gents from the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office called me and threatened me, said that they would throw me in prison, that they would kill me, tear me into pieces."

"They said openly and directly that if I quit the Crimean Prosecutor’s Office that very moment they would take it as a voluntary decision to stop criminal activities."

"They added that a van with a crack squad was already on its way to arrest me and they would throw me into a prison cell."

“I replied that I would rather be in a prison cell than work for fascists."

When asked to serve as chief prosecutor, she said she'd do anything to help Crimean people.

"I had no fear," she said. "I was about to assume great responsibility and I decided to shrug off any fear."

"I could succumb to it later. I wanted to complete the work and fear only afterwards."

"We needed to do a lot to mobilize the people and show them that we were supporting the right cause."

Last December, Russian media reported Crimean militia foiled Kiev's plot targeting her and members of her office.

According to militia commander Sergey Turchanenko:

"Several months ago, our guys found a bag with explosives at…the Crimean Prosecutor's office…"

In November, an envelope sent by mail addressed to Poklonskaya with a blasting agent was found.

Last August, a shopping bag with explosives was spotted near her office - enough to cause casualties up to 350 meters away.

Fascists do anything for power. Anyone opposing them risks death.

Poklonskaya survived several earlier assassination attempts. Once she was severely beaten.

Challenging fascists risks trouble. She'll need all the protection she can get to stay alive.

Washington may want her eliminated. It's waging political and economic war on Russia.

So are media scoundrels. On March 10, Fox News interviewed retired US army major general Robert Scales.

He lied claiming 12,000 Russian troops operate in eastern Ukraine. No evidence whatever suggests it.

None exists. According to Scales, "the only way the United States can have any effect in this region and turn the tide is start killing Russians."

Kill "so many…that even Putin's media can’t hide the fact that Russians are returning to their motherland in body bags."

US media feature these type lunatics. Anti-imperial voices are shunned. So are truth-tellers on issues mattering most.

Ukrainian fascists are called democrats. Donbass freedom fighters are called terrorists.

Warriors get lots of US air time. Peace activists get none. Viewers, listeners and readers are systematically lied to.

US-dominated NATO countries are so busy preparing for war on Russia they turn a blind eye to systematic Kiev ceasefire violations.

They call hugely anti-Russian provocations defensive. Eastern European military buildup risks direct confrontation with Russia.

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg is a US-appointed stooge. He calls preparing for aggressive war "keep(ing) our nations safe."

He hypes the Big Lie about nonexistent "Russian aggression" every chance he gets.

He said "(w)e are doubling the size of the NATO Response Force from 13,000 to 30,000 troops" targeting Russia.

Plus "setting up a new 5,000-strong quick reaction Spearhead Force with some units ready to move within as little as 48 hours."

Six anti-Russian front line states' command and control centers are being established - preparing for greater war.

NATO will "keep up the momentum," he said - perhaps for nuclear war to end all wars and life on earth.

Anti-Russian Cold War II risks turning red hot. Fascists operate this way. It bears repeating. It's headquartered in Washington. It has bipartisan supports.

Ukraine is its European epicenter. Its tinderbox condition could launch catastrophic war.

The Russian Peacekeeper web site reports Washington "will redirect the equipment and weapons exported from Afghanistan to the territory of Ukraine."

"The transfer of arms and ammunition is planned to be carried out by aviation and maritime transport."

It's part of America's continued supplying Kiev with heavy weapons and munitions since conflict erupted last April.

Foreign provided weapons pour into Ukraine ahead of planned renewed conflict.

Donbass rebels are preparing for what's coming. Obama wants war, not peace.

Fascists infesting Washington want greater war than already. Presidential aspirant Hillary Clinton is a notorious hawk.

If elected, she'll continue Washington's permanent war policy. She'll make bad situations worse.

She'll claim it's America's role as the "indispensable nation." She's unapologetic about imperial wars and foreign policy failures on her watch.

Notably Libya, Syria, plotting Ukraine's coup with Victoria Nuland before John Kerry succeeded her, as well as challenging Russia and China through containment, marginalization, weakening, isolation and direct confrontation.

She and likeminded fascists in Washington risk catastrophic nuclear war. They infest both parties.

Not a dime's worth of difference separates them on issues mattering most. World peace hangs by a thread.
