German, Austrian Politicians Show Terrorism, Refugee Crisis Stem from Western-Launched Wars

September 10th, 2015

Sept. 7 (EIRNS)-Sahra Wagenknecht and Dietmar Bartsch, deputy parliamentary group leaders of Germany's main (leftist) opposition party, Die Linke, have blamed Western countries for being the main cause of the currentrefugee crisis that Europe is grappling with-its biggest refugee challenge sincethe Second World War. "Western countries under the leadership of the United States have destabilized entire regions by making terrorist organizations, among other things, possible and exploit them.... Anyone who turns the Near and Middle East into a hot spot with wars, drone terror, weapons supplies and conscious destabilization, is to blame for millions of humans having to leave their homeland."

They said, "gangs of murderers, such as the Islamic State (IS), were
indirectly supported and supplied with money and weapons by countries allied
with Germany, which have brought millions of people into brutal wars and civil
wars." Wagenknecht and Bartsch criticized Chancellor Angela Merkel for her
conduct, saying that "if the Federal government had just had a minimum of
courage, it would demand that the U.S.A., being the main cause of the refugee
tragedy, should at least shoulder a share of the cost."

In addition, the two politicians call for an immediate end to German arms
exports and for an increase of Germany's development aid as well as its
contribution to the UN World Food Program-which has warned that it will
have to cut aid to refugee camps for lack of funds to buy food and medicine.

Also in Austria, the far-right opposition Freedom Party (FPO) has blamed
the United States and the NATO military alliance for triggering the refugee
crisis. "The U.S.A. and NATO have destroyed Iraq and Libya with their military
intervention, bombs and missiles; provided financial, logistical and military
support to the opposition against President Assad in Syria, and thus made
possible the destruction, chaos, suffering and radical Islamism in the region,"
Heinz-Christian Strache said on his Facebook page. "The U.S.A. for decades has
started fires in the Middle East and then has the chutzpah to claim that
responsibility for the flood of refugees unleashed lies with Europe. That's
geostrategic detribalization at its finest," he wrote.

British-Obama War Has Driven Out Half of Syria's Population

Sept. 7 (EIRNS)-Currently, more than half of Syria's population no longer
lives where it did in 2011. In March 2011, the British and their stooge Obama
launched the Syrian war. That war, which the U.S. Congress never approved by
vote, and which the UN Security Council never approved, has killed 70,000
people and shattered Syria, causing the mass migration and emigration. Nothing
else.

In 2011, some 22 million people lived in cities and communities in Syria.
Today?
* More than 1.1 million Syrians are living in Lebanon.
* At least 1.9 million have fled to Turkey.
* 630,000 Syrians are living in Jordan.
* More than 400,000 have fled to Egypt, Iraq, or North Africa.
* 7.3 million have been internally displaced, living in the homes of family or
friends, or camps inside Syria.
* 175,000 have fled to Europe, or died trying.
That totals just shy of 11.5 million people: greater than half of Syria's
population has been displaced.

This is a scorched-earth policy. Few could survive in Homs, sections of
Aleppo, whole swaths of western Syria, which are rubble, with no essential
services.

It is this stark reality, and the absolute necessity to impeach Obama, that
European heads of state, as well as the American population must face, if they
genuinely seek a real solution to the migration and refugee crisis.

Britain, France and Australia Considering Airstrikes in Syria-Against ISIS
or Assad?

Sept. 7 (EIRNS)-Three nations, Britain, France and Australia, have reported
that they are considering carrying out bombing strikes on Syrian territory,
ostensibly against the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/Daesh).

"British Prime Minister David Cameron is pressing for military strikes
against the Islamic State in Syria within a month, according to senior sources,"
RT reported Sept. 6. On Sept. 5, Cameron's Chancellor of the Exchequer George
Osborne told Reuters that, "You've got to deal with the problem at source,
which is this evil Assad regime and the ISIL terrorists." Osborne strongly
attacked the 2013 Parliament decision to not carry out airstrikes in Syria. The
British government has not officially mentioned bombing Assad's forces, but the
intention and effect of the British-Obama strategy, assisted by the Turks, has
been, in multiple ways, to build up the ISIS forces against Assad.

On Sept. 7, French President Francois Hollande stated as his semi-annual
press conference in Paris, that "I have asked the Defense Ministry that from
tomorrow surveillance flights can be launched over Syria, allowing us to plan
airstrikes against Daesh" (the Arabic acronym for ISIS). But Hollande specified
that France would not join the Washington-led anti-ISIS coalition.

According to the Australia Broadcasting Corp. (ABC), the government of
Prime Minister Tony Abbott "appears almost certain to next week authorize
airstrikes in Syria against the Islamic State."
