Obama Vows Escalated War OF Terror

December 26th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Post-9/11, America deceptively launched what it called a Global War on Terrorism.

It’s a war OF terrorism on humanity, using its military might along with rogue NATO and other partners, currently supporting ISIS and other terrorist groups in Syria, Iraq and elsewhere.

Following state-sponsored false flags in Paris and San Bernardino, US Middle East aggression escalated, on the phony pretext of combating ISIS. Speaking from the Pentagon on Monday after meeting with his national security advisors, Obama lied claiming US “armed forces continue to lead the global coalition in our mission to destroy the terrorist group ISIL.”

Fact: Washington supports terrorist elements it claims to oppose, mainly ISIS.

Obama lied claiming US and partnered forces “on the ground are rooting ISIL out, town by town, neighborhood by neighborhood, block by block.” Just the opposite is true.

Fact: Syria’s military is the only ground force fighting ISIS and other terrorists - effectively retaking earlier lost territory with formidable Russian air power help, hitting multiple terrorist targets daily with deadly accuracy.

Fact: US and coalition partners try countering their successes by aiding their terrorist foot soldiers.

Obama claiming last month US warplanes “dropped more bombs on ISIL targets than any other month since this campaign began (15 months ago he didn’t explain with no success on combating terrorism)” is a bald-faced lie.

All US, UK, French, Canadian, Israeli and Australian strikes on Syrian territory (with Germany now joining their imperial coalition) target infrastructure and government targets.

None attack terrorists. The Big Lie persists, dutifully regurgitated by media scoundrels, mouthpieces for imperial aggression wherever it’s waged.

“We’re also taking out ISIL leaders, commanders and killers, one by one,” Obama blustered. Russia and Syrian ground forces alone are combating them effectively, Washington going all-out to support them, Obama duplicitously claiming otherwise.

All battlefield successes he attributed to US and partnered forces apply solely to Russian air power and Syrian ground forces, making great strides to liberate the country from the US-led scourge.

Washington’s escalated campaign aims solely to oust Assad, replace him with a US-controlled puppet, balkanize Syria and Iraq, control their resources unchallenged, exploit their people more than already, isolate Iran ahead of targeting the Islamic Republic for regime change, as well as preventing Russia from gaining regional influence by successfully combating the scourge America supports.

Obama’s Pentagon remarks came eight days after his post-San Bernardino false flag oval office rant, hyping a phantom terrorist threat, enlisting public support for escalated imperial wars - well underway with much more to come.

US wars are endless, humanity the target, not terrorism. Republican and Democrat administrations post-9/11 made America less safe than ever before.

Their bipartisan agenda is pure evil. Obama made nuclear war with Russia possible. The danger is huge because Washington wants its sovereign independence eliminated to gain hegemonic control of its territory, resources and population.

War with weapons of mass destruction is the greatest threat humanity faces. Failing to prevent it risks mass annihilation - the danger today greater than any previous time in world history.

During the Cold War, America had Truman, Eisenhower fundamentally against the burgeoning military industrial complex, peacemaker Jack Kennedy wanting nuclear weapons abolished and rapprochement with Soviet Russia, as well as other leaders fundamentally against US/Russian confrontation.

Today, neocon hawks infest Republican and Democrat administrations as well as Congress and influential hard-line think tanks.

War is their option of choice. They rage endlessly against one country after another. It bears repeating what numerous other articles stressed.

America is the greatest threat to peace in world history. Its recklessness may end life on earth if not stopped.
