Putin Intends Defeating the Scourge of Terrorism

His righteous mission deserves universal support. He’s committed for as long as it takes, wanting the terrorist scourge prevented from establishing a Central Asian foothold, especially kept out of Russia - a key US objective.

On Wednesday, Sergey Lavrov responded to unacceptable demands made by Syrian opposition delegates in Geneva, representing terrorist groups, ones Moscow is committed to defeat, saying: Russia’s aerial campaign will continue, intensified as needed. “I see no reason why the operation of our Air Force in Syria should be stopped as long as terrorists are not defeated yet.”

He praised Russia’s successful operations, a game-changer on the ground, reinvigorating Syrian ground forces, large numbers of volunteers joining them, retaking earlier lost territory - ISIS and other terrorists groups on the back foot, hopefully heading toward decisive defeat throughout Syria.

Russian and US-led operations are polar opposite, Washington using takfiri terrorists as imperial foot soldiers, supporting them with arms, munitions, funding, training and months of bombing Syrian targets.

Russia is the only major power committed to defeat a common scourge, its efforts hugely successful, the best chance for liberating Syria, restoring peace and stability.

Diplomacy is a waste of time, sham Geneva III peace talks dead on arrival. Terrorists don’t negotiate. They demand. Washington wants war, not peace.

As long as Western and regional regimes support ISIS and other terrorist groups, endless fighting will continue, perhaps years before it ends, maybe decades.

Syrians continue suffering and dying daily. Obama bears full responsibility.

America’s quest for unchallenged global dominance is the greatest threat to world peace. It hangs by a thread.
