NYT v. Russia on Tuesday’s Syria CW Attack

April 7th, 2017

Stephen Lendman

Who’s more credible? Simple to know for anyone paying attention to imperial war on Syria and in other US war theaters.

The Times claimed holes in Russia’s explanation of what happened in Khan Sheikhoun, substituting fiction for facts.

The attack occurred in territory controlled by US-supported terrorists. Anti-Assad witnesses reported what they want people to know, not what happened or who’s responsible - falsely blaming government forces, the Big Lie embedded in the public mind before evidence later refutes it.

It’s unclear precisely what happened, likely a sarin gas attack. Images of victims and emergency workers circulating online haven’t been verified.

They could have been from an unrelated incident, a common imperial stunt.

The Times: “There is no evidence that online video and photographs were fabricated.”

Fact: There’s no evidence verifying they’re real, representing what happened in Khan Sheikhoun.

Fact: No Russian aircraft were in the area when the attack occurred. Syrian warplanes struck a “terrorist warehouse,” hours after the Khan Sheikhoun incident, used by terrorists to make “projectiles stuffed with chemical agents.”

The Times said it’s “unclear how many attacks were carried on that day, or what time they occurred (or whether) a chemical weapons facility existed in the area.”

In liberated areas, Syria’s military discovered toxic agents used by terrorists for CW attacks.

Fact: Syria’s military and Foreign Ministry categorically deny responsibility for striking Khan Sheikhoun - with chemical or any other type weapons.

The Times: “Investigations by the United States and Western powers into the August 2013 chemical attack near Damascus that killed more than 1,400 people concluded that it had been carried out by the Syrian government.”

Fact: Evidence showed Syrian forces had nothing to do with the Ghouta attack referred to. US-backed terrorists were responsible.

Fact: Death toll numbers varied by sources reporting them. Washington claimed 1,400 perished, including over 400 children - falsified numbers.

A Syrian human rights group reported 502, Doctors Without Borders 355, and France 281. The US figure was a CIA exaggeration, not body-count based.

The phony number stuck to create the illusion of a monstrous Assad-caused CW disaster.

It was a horrific incident, far less severe than media scoundrels reported. Assad had nothing to do with it - or Tuesday’s CW attack.

Both were false flags blamed on him, likely greater US-sponsored horrors to follow than already.
