Nikki Haley’s Recklessly Belligerent Remarks

Trump’s neocon UN envoy sounds like Samantha Powers on steroids - her hostility toward Russia, Syria and world peace evident from her reckless comments.

In prepared Wednesday remarks before House Foreign Affairs Committee members, she sounded like an out-of-control war goddess.

She lied saying “(i)n early April, (Syria) dropped chemical weapons on Syrian children,” belligerently adding:

“We drew a red line. If the UN would not act collectively, the United States would act alone. And we did” - failing to explain attacking Syria’s Shayrat airbase was unprovoked naked US aggression.

She railed irresponsibly against North Korea’s right of self-defense, justifiably fearful of America launching war on the country for the second time since June 1950.

Citing “America’s values,” she failed to explain they focus on achieving unchallenged global dominance - aggressive wars and color revolutions its strategies of choice.

She lied claiming America is “dedicated…to the protection of human rights…” No nation is a more egregious abuser, none more hostile to world peace, stability and security, none more contemptuous of rule of law principles.

She threatened the UN for justifiably criticizing Israeli viciousness, shamelessly claiming the country is “unfairly target(ed).”

She lied calling Iran and Hamas “the true threats in the region.” She belligerently said “a healthy Syria (isn’t possible) with Assad. You can’t have Assad in power with the healthy Syria” - affirming Washington’s lawless US regime change objective.

On Thursday, in response to a phony US claim about a planned Syrian CW attack, Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the provocative accusation “a harbinger of a new intervention” - escalating conflict Russia continues going all-out to resolve diplomatically.

Hostile US claims aren’t new, she added, explaining “Washington has voiced new baseless accusations against the Syrian leadership that allegedly (it’s) planning a new chemical attack.”

“We know about these statements, which Washington officials have refused to support with facts. And we don't know what data was used to make such conclusions.”

“The situation resembles a large-scale provocation both in military and information terms, which is directed not only against the Syrian authorities, but also against Russia.”

In January 2016, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) announced the elimination of Syrian CWs under its supervision. None remain.

Zakharova explained Moscow has intelligence indicating preparations for new US-led provocations in Syria - without further elaboration or indication how Russia intends responding if they occur.

Separately on Thursday, Vladimir Putin explained “growing activity by foreign intelligence agencies against Russia and (its) allies.”

“This includes new ways of collecting and stove-piping information, cyberattacks and attempts to recruit new agents in order to get access to data on Russia’s economic, defense and resource capabilities,” he said.

Foreign nations and extremist elements are trying to destabilize, contain, weaken and isolate Russia - “challenges (it) has to grapple with,” Putin stressed.

“It’s no secret that…intelligence agencies of a number of countries are involved” - America, NATO and their rogue allies Putin obviously means.

They try influencing domestic policies, he added. Protecting Russia’s “sovereign development, security and stability” are the top priorities of its government.

US-dominated NATO is a serial aggressor. Russia, China and their allies are humanity’s best hope to successfully contest its imperial madness.

  • The Pretender's Magic is their diversity in musical range. Mystifying the sultry blues of "Blue Sun" to the punk-infused anthems like "Brass in Pocket," the band slips into these heterogeneous grooves with greased skids. Chrissie's wide-ranging influences pair with The Pretenders, evolving while retaining core elements of its personality. The eclectic portfolio will consistently deliver a "new" live surprise. Sorry, but there is no raucous Lynyrd Skynyrd "Play Free Bird" here. Everybody has a favorite, many favorites. The diversity of the songs makes every new and old fan curious to learn more about one aspect or another of the band's expression.
