Chuck Schumer’s Phony Call for Social Justice

Undemocratic Democrat Senate Minority Leader Schumer has been involved in state and federal politics since 1975.

He’s ideologically hard right, pretending otherwise, fooling no one familiar with his deplorable record.

Like most others in Congress, he’s anti-progressive, anti-labor, anti-welfare for the nation’s most vulnerable, pro-Wall Street, pro-business, pro-war, pro-US imperial dominance, and one-sidedly pro-Israel.

In deference to its regime, he opposed the Iran nuclear deal, turning truth on its head, claiming Tehran would be free to develop nuclear weapons years later - ones it doesn’t want, strongly advocating for a nuclear-free Middle East.

Schumer is just another self-serving dirty politician. The New York Times gave him feature op-ed space to lie, claiming he wants “a better deal for American workers” he’s done nothing for throughout his years in politics.

Schumer:
“American families deserve a better deal so that this country works for everyone again, not just the elites and special interests. Today, Democrats will start presenting that better deal to the American people.”

Fact: Undemocratic Dems haven’t done it since the neoliberal 90s, serving privileged interests exclusively, allying with hardline Republicans against New Deal/Great Society programs.

Schumer: “There used to be a basic bargain in this country that if you worked hard and played by the rules, you could own a home, afford a car, put your kids through college and take a modest vacation every year while putting enough away for a comfortable retirement.”

Fact: No longer since the Clintons, Bush/Cheney, Obama, and now Trump - a bipartisan conspiracy against ordinary Americans, waging war on social justice, Schumer in lockstep with others in Washington wanting it eliminated.

Schumer: “Americans believe they’re getting a raw deal from both the economic and political systems in our country.”

Fact: Indeed so! A bipartisan conspiracy against them bears full responsibility.

Schumer: “(F)or far too long, government has gone along, tilting the economic playing field in favor of the wealthy and powerful while putting new burdens on the backs of hard-working Americans.”

“Democrats have too often hesitated from taking on those misguided policies directly and unflinchingly - so much so that many Americans don’t know what we stand for.”

Fact: America is a one-party state with two right wings. Not a dime’s worth of difference separates them on issues mattering most.

Fact: They’re in lockstep on endless imperial wars, corporate empowerment, and police state harshness against nonbelievers.

Fact: America has no major party representing working-class interests. Schumer claiming Democrats intend turning a new leaf is willful deception.

The 2016 anti-democratic Democratic party platform included hollow promises made to be broken like they always are.

There was nothing on universal healthcare, anti-consumer trade deals, endless imperial wars, police state laws, or a pledge to make America beautiful for everyone, not just its privileged few.

Undemocratic Dems like Schumer look out for no one but themselves and the privileged interests they support.

Promises his op-ed made came from the party’s deceptive playbook - around since the Clinton co-presidency.

Claiming “Democrats will offer a better deal” is the latest edition of party baloney.
