Trump calls Harvard ‘a joke’ while threatening funds
https://thehill.com/homenews/education/5251335-trump-harvard-funding-joke/
““Harvard is a JOKE, teaches Hate and Stupidity, and should not longer receive Federal Funds,” Trump wrote early Wednesday in a post on Truth Social.”
“Harvard was the first university Monday to openly reject the Trump administration’s demands to change its policies.” …
“ “No government — regardless of which party is in power — should dictate what private universities can teach, whom they can admit and hire, and which areas of study and inquiry they can pursue,” Harvard University President Alan Garber said.”
Trump also said: “ … Harvard is a disgrace, they are obviously antisemitic…” in an interview calling its previous president, Claudia Gay, horrendous who ruined its image.

If you bothered to watch those self-righteous Congressional, kangaroo-court interviews, you would know they, Congress, were the joke.
Despite Trump supposedly graduated from the Wharton School of Business with a degree in economics we can see how well this ‘serious’ scholar is doing with the economy.
Jeffery Sachs teaches economics—here is what he has to say about President Trump’s economic acumen:
'King Donald...': Jeffery Sachs GOES OFF On Trump Tariffs; Urges World To NOT Live In 'Crazy Land'
To summarize: Trump would have failed his first course on economics and he apparently is operating on some sort of deluded theory. [However, it equally needs to be said that Professor Sachs is not an expert on climate change and he clearly does not know the dubious but real conspiracies that have been made to cook the science. Carbon is not an enemy to life.]
As relevant if not more: several people have had questions about how facile and agile are The Don’s reading skills—after all this is a world of complex information—especially if you are high up in government.
And granted, The Atlantic magazine is a biased, leftist, political attack dog, but it is not the only source questioning Trump’s intellectual depth, and specifically whether he has much of a penchant to read:
The President Who Doesn’t Read: Trump’s allergy to the written word and his reliance on oral communication have proven liabilities in office

Many Americans, sadly, are poor readers. This is not a joke, and it is certainly not something that should be made fun or ridiculed. Rather it is a tragedy that will continue to play its ‘enormous’ part in the fall of this culture—just witness how easily people are duped by political hacks!
The American education system is, at least, partially responsible. Too often it either pushed, or tolerated, speed reading strategy, which neglects the time necessary to truly explore ideas and any intuitive feelings association with thoughts (like “this makes sense” on my BS detector, or “this doesn’t seem a sound or argument—where’s the evidence).
Speed reading does not allow time to contemplate. Nor is it an enjoyable way to read. Speed reading as a style that turns away potential life-readers from learning to appreciate the value and worthiness of reading because they routinely feel rushed.
Equally, an emphasis on speed neglects the responsibility to take time to look up words in a dictionary that one is unfamiliar (or to use other reference books).
Poor reading is truly one of America’s most serious problems because we literally have way too many less-resourceful and shallow people who are more easily manipulated intellectually (and more prone to trust mediocre peoples’ opinions as valuable or acceptable).
And this sidetrack pedantism on how bad the education system is does not even touch on the political and cultural incentives that have turned schools into indoctrination centers, such as a focus on being politically correct, and blaming white, European gentiles for most of the world’s evils, etc.
Frankly, the American education system seems to have been deliberately dumbed down; but regardless as to whether it was deliberate or not, it was, and still is, stupidly stultified (as are most American citizens who still vote for either Republicans or Democrats).

But speaking as to whether something, or someone, is a joke, such as colloquially, in not to be taken seriously (like Harvard’s refusal to comply with White House dictates) how does a Drump-ass appointing a woman who was a prior professional wrestling promoter to be our new Secretary of Education play out? How is that for class and class rating?
According to Wikipedia Linda Marie McMahon is an American politician, business executive, and former professional wrestling promoter.
“McMahon, along with her husband, Vince McMahon, founded … World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. where she worked as the president and later CEO from 1980 to 2009.”
Perhaps you too, reader, have thought someone appointed to be Secretary of Education ought to have at least a modicum of experience in American education? How many millions of teachers and professors and college presidents across this country did not think such an appointment was equally a joke?
Twenty-nine years promoting fatuous entertainment like the screaming and juveniles to vent off steam and then she jumps into politics because she happens to have a friend in the White House—that certainly sound like a good candidate for a cabinet level position.
Donald Trump and WWE: How the Road to the White House Began at ‘WrestleMania’
https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/donald-trump-and-wwe-how-the-road-to-the-white-house-began-at-wrestlemania-35697/
Within this Rollingstone magazine article, which includes three short, slapstick and interesting videos of him, we get a good feel for the man now in the White House.
The first one with previous wrestling star Jesse Ventura, who did a good job in promoting conspiracy theories (some more true than the orthodox can handle).
From there we get a lot of ring-side hot bellicose air between Vince McMahon and the Donald Trumpetism. Promo man and circus ring leader.
And so, if you are interested in how the White House now seems to be a bit of a circus this may be one such reason—we literally have a circus barker now growling at the current President and the professorial teaching staff of an Ivy League school. Yes, Prez Trump is a guy who hosted a reality TV show, namely The Apprentice, on NBC from 2004 to 2017 for 14 seasons. What was it famous for—an almost give-a-dam capacity to fire people on a dine. He made the phrase: “Your fired” famous.
Does he not understand how many people who have been through being fired in real life with real life circumstances may have felt humiliated when they were fairly or unfairly fired? Could not one reason some people hate him is because he seemingly has never been on the receiving end of such a critical life issue.
Still, intuitively, there is likely some humanity in this man. He has a kind and loving side. He is social and gregarious. He seems to be played by sophisticated players especially if he doesn’t even rely on his own intellectual wits to read for himself. Nevertheless, he allows himself to be surrounded by shysters and those limiting his access to the real world.
It is obvious in his wholesale naïveté about the real history of U.S. politics with Russia and Ukraine.
When one sizes up Donald Trump’s cabinet selections—practically all of them seem to have some sort of groupie credulity. Their team-sport dogmatism is a degree sophomoric. They seem ignorant of the deeper levels of real conspiracies and deceit working around them—that have existed before they ever entered the drama.
But then, given all are morbidly pro-Israel, he, Trump, probably was not the one who winnowed down most of these selections, save perhaps individuals like Linda McMahon and Stephen Miller (Miller a liability who now apparently lied about the whether it is legal to return Kilmar Abrego Garcia from an El Salvadorian prison known for torture).
What a P.R. stunt.
Watch this analysis video:
Trump Admin Suggests Sending Americans To Foreign Prisons For 4th Time
https://www.thelastamericanvagabond.com/trump-american-foreign-prison-mrna/
At 3:00 (hour three exactly) Miller, the equivalent of Trump’s right-hand man, is lying to the media as to why it is not legal to get the never-convicted prisoner back.
But this disappearing protestors and foreign migrants reporting really starts at minute 54 of the first hour—worthy. But if you just want to watch the White House fraud-charade starts at 2:49, 2 hours 49 minutes, when normally somewhat independent souls turn to groupthink schlumps, like Bondi and Rubio giving their supposed 2-cents worth of intellectual value.
I strongly suggest you listen from minute 54 of the first hour to the end of the podcast—long yes but insightful—to get a sense of what a real fraud this whole disappearing of prisoners is becoming (and what a dangerous non-joke of a precedent it has become).
[Note: Ryan Cristian and his podcast TheLastAmericanVagabond.Com is one of the best and most important sources of investigative journalism on national and international news in the English-speaking language. His productions are long and elaborate, but he goes the extra mile to do the real research. If you routinely study him, you will eventually understand what real, investigative journalism should consist (rather than so much deceit and shoddy reasoning around the country). Even the internet alternative media is inundated with all manner of shoddy evidence and reasoning.
Take the question of tattoos on Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s fingers. Almost all the tattoos of MS 13 gang members are obvious M + S + 13. Google MS13 tattoos. None of the hypothetical crap about a cross means 1 and a skull means 3.
Or the story about Garcia and Senator Chris Van Hollen drinking margaritas is equally some ploy that likely started in Washington (more clown show).
Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele, if you listen to him talk, he doesn’t seem that sophisticated. The guy sounds more like Joe Six-pack than some elite mind.
Before The Apprentice, learning more showbiz, Trump acquired his casino license in the early 1980s.
Moreover, he was tutored by a true sophisticate—Roy Cohn and various shady types that supposedly taught him early on how to get over on people. Whitney Webb has a great deal of background investigative journalism on this lesser-known history.

And so, we conclude, that in essence, we have a man who doesn’t apparently read that much, if at all, and maybe not so worthily (and who is therefore dependent on his questionable or dubious advisors); who can’t seem to cobble together a top-tier, seasoned-senior, and viable cabinet (twice in a role); who doesn’t seem to know, or care, about civil liberties or the rule of law; who may have possibly cheated his way through college; regardless, is may be doing his share to destroy the world economy; who is married to technocrat billionaires who are attached to dangerous political goals (such as complete surveillance especially to Israel); while he ardently promotes giving weapons and bombs to a brazen war criminal he treats as a personal friend; who frames college protests against the immorality of genocide in the Levant (not limited to Gaza) on campuses as antisemitism; and, meanwhile we all might defer to his comment about Harvard and American campuses being a joke?
What really makes this man qualified to run our country? Not very much.
Donald, ask yourself from your own heart—would it not be OK to admit that perhaps you got yourself over your head? You are just mortal and naïve like we all are. You can step down if you want.
Somehow, I believe you got manipulated into all of this (of course you played your role—still you are not destined to carry out these nefarious agendas).
Even if it is partially of your own doing. You can choose to make huge changes and realizations.
You are not dependent on the opinions of other people. You are only a mortal human like the rest of us. Wake up.
Play golf. Drink cocktails and tell the world to take a hike. There is no joke here Donald. We should wish there was something funny to laugh at.
Things need to be taken seriously.
