NYT: Right About Trump’s Foreign Policy Address for the Wrong Reasons

August 23rd, 2016

Stephen Lendman

The Times leads the unprecedented scoundrel media assault against one US presidential candidate in support of the worst of two unacceptable choices.

Its editors’ latest broadside followed Trump’s Monday foreign policy address, a prescription for endless wars of aggression. A same day article deconstructed it - calling it dirty geopolitical business as usual vital to end once and for all.

Instead of blasting continued US imperial wars on the phony pretext of combating ISIS and other terrorist groups, Times editors called his speech “a collection of confused and random thoughts that showed little understanding of the rise of the Islamic State…”

Fact: Times editors never explain ISIS and all other prominent terrorist groups are US creations, a policy begun under Jimmy Carter against Soviet Russia in Afghanistan.

The Clintons’ Dirty Pay to Play Racket

August 23rd, 2016

Stephen Lendman

The name of the game is influence selling and self-enrichment, very big bucks involved.

The Clinton Foundation is a money laundering racketeering scheme posing as a charitable NGO. Bill and Hillary should have been prosecuted, convicted and imprisoned long ago. In America they get away with high crimes no just societies would tolerate.

Last year, the Washington Post reported the Clinton Foundation “raised close to $2 billion from a vast global network that includes corporate titans, political donors, foreign governments and other wealthy interests.”

The NYT Big Lie About Nonexistent Russian Aggression in Ukraine Revisited

August 22nd, 2016

Stephen Lendman

My edited and contributed to book, titled Flashpoint in Ukraine: How the US Drive for Hegemony Risks WW III explains America’s color revolution, replacing Ukrainian sovereign independence with illegitimate, Nazi-infested putschist rule, and much more.

It includes a wealth of invaluable information media scoundrels like The Times suppress. Distinguished contributors make the book special, an honor for me to be in the same volume with them.

After weeks of US-orchestrated violence, democracy in Ukraine succumbed in mid-February 2014. The scourge of fascism returned to central Europe for the first time since WW II.

Crimea and Donbass are bright spots, their residents rejecting tyranny for democratic governance.

Obama Pushing for TPP: Misinformation and Big Lies His Strategy

August 22nd, 2016

Stephen Lendman

US trade deals are jobs-killing weapons of mass destruction. They destroy fundamental freedoms. They ignore eco-sanity.

They’re abominations vital to end. America needs fair, not Orwellian free trade. Preventing TPP’s enactment into US law is crucial for all working-age Americans and their families.

NYT Editors Ignore Obama’s War on Yemen

August 22nd, 2016

Stephen Lendman

The Times is a shameless instrument of state propaganda, reporting only what it wants its readers to know, suppressing what’s most important, especially on geopolitical issues. More below on a Times editorial on Yemen.

Throughout his tenure, Obama waged illegal drone war on its people, largely killing unknown numbers of noncombatant civilians - innocent US imperial victims, millions of others post-9/11 alone throughout the region, central Asia, North Africa and elsewhere.

In March 2015, he launched escalated naked aggression, partnered with Israel and Gulf States, mainly Saudi Arabia - a proxy US imperial force, putting 24 million Yemenis at risk from war, related violence, preventable diseases, starvation and overall deprivation.

Slow-motion genocide continues, UN-claimed casualty numbers way understate reality. Countless thousands died, mostly civilians, numerous others seriously injured, many maimed for life - millions suffering, perhaps hundreds of thousands dying slow, painful deaths, especially young children, the elderly and infirm.

Turkey Seeking Closer Military Ties with Russia? Hold the Cheers

August 22nd, 2016

Stephen Lendman

Interviewed by Russia’s Sputnik News, Turkish Foreign Minister Melvut Cavusoglu called both nations “friendly countries, two neighbors (not always) see(ing) eye to eye on everything.”

He claimed Ankara wants good relations between both countries restored after months of hostility, following the downing of a Russian warplane in Syrian territory.

“(W)e are the only NATO country” not imposing sanctions on Russia, he said - Erdogan knowing their imposition would harm Turkey’s economy with Russia responding appropriately, aside from sanctions imposed following the downing of its aircraft last November.

“…Turkey is the best and most reliable friend Russia can possibly find,” Cavusoglu claimed. Not as long as Erdogan provides ISIS and other anti-Syrian terrorists safe haven on Turkish territory and keeps supplying them with weapons and munitions, wanting Assad deposed.

George Schwartz Soros - The Oligarch Who Owns The Left

August 22nd, 2016

Gilad Atzmon

An email leaked recently by Wikileaks reveals that in 2011, Jewish oligarch George Schwartz Soros gave step by step instructions to US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on how to handle unrest in Albania.

Soros even nominated three candidates whom he believed to “have strong connections to the Balkans.”

Not surprisingly, several days after the email was sent to Clinton, the EU sent one of Soros’ nominees to meet Albanian leaders in Tirana to try to mediate an end to the unrest.

More About a U.S.-and-Allied Hoax Against Assad UPDATE OF: U.S. Gov’t. Refused U.S. Entry to Jihadist It Employs for Overthrowing Assad

August 22nd, 2016

Eric Zuesse

On August 18th, the terrific “Moon of Alabama” blogger posted his brilliant exposé of an operation that the U.S. and its allies support and are lobbying to win the Nobel Peace Prize, but that’s really just a group of people who help Syria’s anti-Assad jihadists by medicating their injured jihadists, and by carrying off and disposing of the jihadists’ victims’ corpses. The headline is “The ‘Wounded Boy In Orange Seat’ — Another Staged ‘White Helmets’ Stunt”. This story concerns staged (faked) photos by that Western-funded-and-backed jihadist organization — photos which have prominently been spread in Western ‘news’ media (and here’s an example of that Western propaganda on August 20th, from NPR’s sanctimonious sucker Scott Simon, quoting the New York Times’s sanctimonious sucker Nick Kristof, both of them suckers of their own government’s hoax, and passing it on to their fools who trust their deceived and propagandistic ‘reporting’). It’s all being done in order to fool Western publics to support their governments’ financial and military assistance to (actually) the jihadists who have been imported by the U.S. and allied governments into Syria to overthrow Assad, who is supported by the majority of Syrians, while the United States and the jihadists it backs are despised by 82% of Syrians. They’re imported to conquer land there, and to help bring down the Assad government and to replace the existing secular Syrian government with a ‘pro-Western’ government run by ‘our’ jihadists, who (unlike the secular government of Bashar al-Assad) will allow the fundamentalist-Islamic royal families who own Saudi Arabia and Qatar, to pipeline through Syria into the European Union, their oil and gas, so as to supplant Russia’s oil and gas in Europe — the biggest-of-all energy-market.

Trump’s Aggressive Foreign Policy

August 22nd, 2016

Stephen Lendman

His August 15 foreign policy address in Youngstown, OH showed he’ll govern as an establishment leader if elected in November - continuing dirty geopolitical business as usual vital to end once and for all.

He’ll wage endless wars to “defeat radical Islamic terrorism,” he said - without explaining its US creation and support at least since the 1980s in Afghanistan against Soviet Russia.

Bin Laden was a Pakistani intelligence-recruited CIA asset. Obama didn’t kill him. He died of natural causes in December 2001, widely reported at the time.

Earlier mujahideen fighters are today’s Taliban, Al Qaeda, Nusra Front, ISIS, Boko Haram and similar groups - created, supported and used by America as imperial foot soldiers to do its killing and dying where they’re deployed with the aim of replacing sovereign independent governments with US puppet regimes.

Staged Anti-Syrian Wounded Boy on Orange Seat Propaganda Stunt

August 22nd, 2016

Stephen Lendman

War is waged in more than one way - actual combat along with demonizing propaganda to win public support for attacking manufactured enemies, nonexistent ones, based on the phony pretext of humanitarian intervention and responsibility to protect.

No matter how often the scheme is used, the public is easily duped every time to believe America is a force for good against evil. Reality is polar opposite.

When America goes to war, naked aggression each time post-WW II, supportive media scoundrels march in lockstep - mindless of the enormous cost in lives lost, vast destruction, chaos and human misery, leaving unexplained US imperial objectives.
