Congress had until September 17 to accept or reject the Iran Nuclear deal (the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action - JCPOA). Three Republican efforts to block it fell short.
On September 10, Senate Republicans failed to get the 60-vote supermajority needed to invoke cloture - the process to end debate and bring a measure to a vote.
House Republicans declined to consider a disapproval motion, seeking other ways to undermine a done deal.
On September 15, a second Republican Senate attempt to pass a disapproval resolution failed to get enough votes to invoke cloture. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R. KY) said another would follow before the September 17 deadline.

A good test of the extent to which a given news-medium censors out news that the aristocracy (especially the people who control international corporations — the people who possess the ultimate authority to determine where the big advertising-dollars are spent) don’t want the public to know, is to submit important news reports to them on a regular basis, to find out which media will publish it — which ones will, and which won’t, publish a major and rigorously researched news story that reports something all (or virtually all) major advertisers want the public not to know. A news-story that exposes a fundamental lie ‘justifying’ a major U.S. foreign policy is of precisely this sort.
The following news-story of this type was submitted to all major mainstream and “alternative news” news sites, including the following; and only the nine that are shown here boldfaced-underlined (and linked, so that you can check out those honest ones by just a click) actually published it (the story you’ll see below); the others did not:

Introduction
Step by step, Washington is inexorably setting up a major provocation against China. Until now, the Obama regime tightened a military encirclement of China, expanding its armed forces agreements with Japan, the Philippines and Australia. In addition, it has promoted the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP), a regional trade agreement which openly excludes China. Obama has ordered a major naval build-up in the South China Sea and embarked on extensive cyber-espionage of Chinese industries and the government via major US high-tech companies, as revealed by Edward Snowden in his release of confidential NSA document. As President Xi Jinping prepares for his first US visit as China’s leader on September 25, with the aim of extending economic ties between Chinese and US business (especially with the high tech corporations in Seattle and Silicon Valley), the Obama regime has threatened to impose a series of punitive sanctions against Chinese companies and individuals for ‘cyber-espionage’, essentially undermining the purpose of his trip.

Ruthless Israeli persecution of Palestinians continues daily - unrestrained violence against defenseless civilians its notable feature, state terrorism by any standard.
World leaders able to make a difference do nothing to change things. Disingenuous rhetoric substitutes for action. After days of Israeli security forces brutalizing Palestinians throughout the West Bank along with desecrating Islam’s third holiest site, the Al-Aqsa Mosque and compound, UN Security Council members did nothing to hold Netanyahu responsible.

Israel considers Palestine a free-fire zone - ruthlessly brutalizing and murdering Palestinians in cold blood unaccountably.
In its weekly report on Israeli human rights abuses, the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) said Israel “continued…attack(ing) Palestinian civilians and their property in the occupied Palestinian territories…for the reporting period” ending September 16, 2015 - before its forces desecrated the Al-Aqsa Mosque and compound (Islam’s third holiest site) for three consecutive days, rampaging violently, inflicting scores of injuries.
On Friday, state terror continued unabated. Israeli forces attacked peaceful Palestinian protesters across the West Bank violently, using tear gas, rubber-coated steel bullets, stun grenades and live fire. Dozens more injuries followed. Maan News reported “(d)emonstrators raised flags and chanted slogans in support of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Christian holy sites, with local popular committee member Abdullah Abu Rahmeh condemning Israeli raids in East Jerusalem's Old City.”

Haim Saban, Pro-Israel billionaire and major political contributor, and adviser to Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, (2009) [There] “is a memo [at the Pentagon] that describes how we’re going to take out seven countries in five years, starting with Iraq, and then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and, finishing off, Iran.”
General Wesley Clark, former Supreme Allied Commander of NATO (1997-2000), (interview of March 2, 2007)
“Next the statesmen will invent cheap lies, putting the blame upon the nation that is attacked, and every man will be glad of those conscience-soothing falsities, and will diligently study them, and refuse to examine any refutations of them.”

Obama, John Kerry and other US officials rhetorically urge settling conflicts diplomatically in Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Donbass, Palestine and elsewhere - while waging endless direct or proxy wars in multiple theaters with new ones in mind.
Syria is in the eye of the storm. In an interview with six Russian media outlets, Bashar al-Assad said defeating ISIS and other takfiri terrorism is the only way to end ongoing conflict and the human flood it creates.
As long as Washington, other Western countries and regional ones support terrorists, endless wars will continue. Syrians want resolution “through dialogue and political action,” he explained. They want peace, stability and national sovereignty respected. They deplore intervention by foreign powers.

The whole world needs to follow Iceland’s lead. Its capital City of Reykjavik no longer will buy products made in Israel.
Its city council voted for boycott as long as it continues occupying Palestinian territory - a bold act deserving high praise, perhaps inspiring greater numbers of cities worldwide to follow suit, then maybe countries if enough effective popular resistance against its viciousness materializes.
Petitions in Britain and America to arrest Netanyahu attracted growing thousands of ordinary people - expressing justifiable anger against an apartheid state brutalizing Palestinians for not being Jewish.
Eric Zuesse,
On September 4th, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin restated, as he has many times before, that he seeks a U.S.-Russian alliance to overcome the global Islamic jihad movement, in Syria, Iraq, and everywhere.
Then, on Tuesday September 8th, Yahoo News bannered, “Austria joins growing voices that say Assad must be part of Syrian solution,” and reported that Austria’s Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz said: “In my opinion the priority is the fight against terror. This will not be possible without powers such as Russia and Iran.” German Economic News noted then that, “Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia Margallo had already called on Monday for negotiations with Assad to end the war.”
However, the U.S. government is strongly opposed to accepting Putin’s offer of an alliance to overcome Islamic jihad.

Washington targets all nations not in lockstep with its agenda politically, economically, and/or militarily - plotting coups, waging endless wars of aggression, imposing illegal sanctions, and bullying allies to go along with its reckless policies.
Chinese President Xi Jinping scheduled his first US state visit, beginning in Seattle on September 22, then to Washington, and concluding with his September 28 UN General Assembly address - if he comes as planned.
Unprecedented economic sanctions are being prepared against Chinese companies and individuals - for alleged, unproved government hacking.
Accusing Beijing of cyber-economic espionage is part of Washington’s growing hostility toward a formidable economic, political and military rival, especially allied with Russia and other BRICS countries, an important counterweight to US hegemonic ambitions.
