Netanyahu at AIPAC

March 4th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

His Monday bluster was a warmup for what honest observers call the most outrageous address ever by a foreign official to a joint congressional session - scheduled for Tuesday, March 3 at 11:00AM EST.

Netanyahu spurned protocol. He circumvented administration control over who gets invited to address Congress.

He's persona non grata at the White House. No welcome mat greeted him on arrival. Obama refused to see him.

Nearly five dozen House and Senate members intend boycotting his address - showing unprecedented disapproval of a foreign leader visiting Washington.

Voters should demand others explain why they intend showing up to support a cold-blooded racist mass-murderer serial liar.

Netanyahu’s Congressional Rant

March 4th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

He last addressed a joint congressional session on May 24, 2011. At the time, Haaretz writer Gideon Levy called it a rant "filled with lies on top of lies and illusions heaped on illusions."

Netanyahu never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity to do the wrong thing. He praised Israel's nonexistent democracy.

Critics denounced its business as usual policy. Its brutalizing occupation harshness. Wars against defenseless civilians at its discretion. Subjugating millions of Arabs ruthlessly for not being Jews.

A previous article explained why Netanyahu chose now to address Congress - a combination of political campaigning ahead of March 17 Israeli elections and a deliberate effort to sabotage Iranian P5+1 talks. One thing alone is sure. He did more to damage relations with America than any previous Israeli leader. Neocons in Washington supporting him compound it.

Manchester Music School Surrenders to Zionist Lobby Pressure

March 4th, 2015

By Gilad Atzmon

Yesterday I learned that my concert at The Royal Northern College of Music this coming Thursday had been cancelled due to Zionist pressure. I spoke with the RNCM's Marketing Director who told me that the concert was cancelled due to 'safety reasons.' It seems that the venue felt 'unable to guarantee my safety.' Given that I’m now a pretty big boy, this would be somewhat amusing except that the terrible implication is that Zionist’s violence has now made it to Britain. It took a few hours before I found out that it was the ultra- Zionist 'North West Friend Of Israel' that had put pressure on the music school.

Abdul Fattah al-Sissi, the Eli Cohen of our time

March 4th, 2015

By Khalid Amayreh in Occupied Palestine

The ruling this week by an Egyptian court, classifying the Palestinian Islamic liberation movement, Hamas, as a terrorist group, underscores the moral nadir the Egyptian regime has reached. It is also an expression of shocking ignominy as well as the moral and political bankruptcy overwhelming the present rulers of Egypt.

But, in a certain sense, the shameful act is occurring within the normal order of things. After all, the Sissi regime is an unashamedly Zionist, created by the Zionists, maintained by the Zionists and sustained by the Zionists.

The Entire Case for Sanctions Against Russia Is Pure Lies

March 3rd, 2015

Eric Zuesse

U.S. President Barack Obama has stated many times his case against Russia — the reason for the economic sanctions. In his National Security Strategy 2015, he uses the term “aggression” 18 times, and 17 of them are referring specifically to only one country as “aggressive”: Russia. However, not once does he say there what the “aggression” consisted of: what its target was, or what it itself was. He’s vague there on everything except his own target: Russia.

For those things (what Russia’s “aggression” consists of), Obama’s only statement that has been even as lengthy as moderately brief — since he has never presented it at any more length — was his interview with Fareed Zacaria of CNN on 1 February 2015, which happened to be a statement given only three days short of the first anniversary of his agent’s, Victoria Nuland’s, having selected, on 4 February 2014, whom the next leader of Ukraine would be, Arseniy Yatsenyuk (she called him “Yats”) after the democratically elected and sitting Ukrainian President, Viktor Yanukovych, would become overthrown, which happened 18 days later, on 22 February 2014. (It was nothing like Czechoslovakia’s “Velvet Revolution”. This wasn’t democratic; it was a coup.)

More Kiev Minsk Violations

March 3rd, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Negotiating with US-controlled fascist thugs assures promises made will be broken. Throughout months of conflict, Kiev broke virtually every one made. Things ahead don't look promising.

Since both sides agreed to Minsk ceasefire terms on February 12, rebels strictly observed them - including withdrawing all heavy weapons as mandated.

On February 28, Donetsk forces completed their pullback from all front line positions. Doing so involved withdrawing 21 artillery groups. Spokesman Eduard Basurin explained, saying: "The DPR has completed the withdrawal of heavy artillery, today we have withdrawn 6 Gvozdika (Carnation) artillery systems in the southern direction. The withdrawal was taking place under control of OSCE."

Obama's War on Humanity at Home and Abroad: Roland John's Appalling Mistreatment

March 3rd, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Obama's agenda combines permanent naked aggression against one country after another with homeland police state repression.

Sovereign independent nations are attacked and destroyed. Thousands of political prisoners languish in America's gulag for opposing rogue US policies.

Others are systematically denied justice other ways. Roland John is one of countless victims of US ruthlessness.

He's been a legal New Jersey resident since 2003. Yet he was wrongfully deported because of US Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) abuse of power - "with no immigration hearing, thus violating my human rights," he explained.

China Warns U.S. to Stop Its Ukrainian Proxy War Against Russia

March 3rd, 2015

Eric Zuesse

A much-ignored huge news report from Reuters on Friday, February 27th, was headlined "Chinese diplomat tells West to consider Russia's security concerns over Ukraine.”

China’s Ambassador to Belgium (which has the capital of the EU) said that the “nature and root cause” of the Ukrainian conflict is “the West,” and that "The West should abandon the zero-sum mentality, and take the real security concerns of Russia into consideration.”

By “real security concerns,” he is clearly referring to NATO’s expansion right up to Russia’s border, and America’s surrounding Russia with U.S. military bases, now inceasingly including the most strategic of Russia’s bordering countries: Ukraine.

Was Russian Opposition Rabble-Rouser Boris Nemtsov Assassinated By A CIA/MI6/MOSSAD Black Operation?

March 2nd, 2015

Another False Flag Assassination To Blame On Putin’s Russia As A Pretext For Starting WW3
Quite tragically, Boris Nemtsov, a very well-known opposition politician in Russia, was gunned down yesterday on the streets of Moscow within view of the Kremlin itself.
Outspoken Russian Opposition Politician Boris Nemtsov Is Shot Dead In Moscow
Unfortunately, very few alive today are cognizant of the specific trigger event which literally started World War I.

It was the false flag assassination of Archduke Ferdinand of Austria, the presumptive heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne and his wife, Sophie, Duchess of Hohenberg in Sarajevo that lit the Balkan tinderbox, which then provoked the full-blown World War I.

[Both] were shot dead in Sarajevo by Gavrilo Princip, one of a group of six assassins (five Serbs and one Bosniak) coordinated by Danilo Ilić, a Bosnian Serb and a member of the Black Hand secret society. The political objective of the assassination was to break off Austria-Hungary’s South Slav provinces so they could be combined into a Yugoslavia. The assassins’ motives were consistent with the movement that later became known as Young Bosnia. The assassination led directly to the First World War when Austria-Hungary subsequently issued an ultimatum to the Kingdom of Serbia, which was partially rejected. Austria-Hungary then declared war.

Fifty Years of Imperial Wars: Results and Perspectives

March 2nd, 2015

James Petras

Introduction

Over the past 50 years the US and European powers have engaged in countless imperial wars throughout the world. The drive for world supremacy has been clothed in the rhetoric of “world leadership”, the consequences have been devastating for the peoples targeted. The biggest, longest and most numerous wars have been carried out by the United States. Presidents from both parties direct and preside over this quest for world power. The ideology which informs imperialism varies from “anti-communism”in the past to “anti-terrorism”today.

Washington’s drive for world domination has used and combined many forms of warfare, including military invasions and occupations; proxy mercenary armies and military coups; financing political parties, NGO’s and street mobs to overthrow duly constituted governments. The driving forces in the imperial state , behind the quest for world power, vary with the geographic location and social economic composition of the targeted countries.
