ON AIPAC And Patriotism

September 10th, 2013

By Gilad Atzmon

In the next few days and completely against the will of the American people, hundreds of AIPAC activists will raid the American Congress to push for a war. Nothing new in that but still, one question bothers me: How many of these pro-war Jews have sent their own sons and daughters to serve in the American military?

Bearing in mind that pretty much the same Lobby pushed for the invasion of Iraq in 2003, one might wonder whether Jews were fairly represented in the military forces or in the casualty statistics of that military blunder. I’d guess they were not. It seems that the enthusiasm of the Lobby in pushing for wars for America doesn’t translate much into patriotism or sacrifice. The Lobby indeed pushes for wars, but somehow it’s always the gentiles who do the killing and the dying.

9/11 Truthers are Dummies (DailyKos)

September 9th, 2013

By Katherine Smith, PhD
Mentioning DailyKos to outsiders will provoke a rant about a leftwing gatekeeper website populated by left wing ignorant kooks kept in line by a sexist man working for the CIA. A typical ad hominen website attack: "Daily Kos is blog where pinko retard basement dwellers highlight the moar deluded of the leftard section of the tinfoil hat crowd’s conspiracy theories about George W. Bush, conservatives, and the state of the nation. Articles on this shrill blog repeat how Bush stole the election ad infinitum, that Dick Cheney is a robot when he is actually just an eminence gris, and fantasize about Ann Coulter being a man." [End of Authors note and typical website ad hominen attack]

The site is controlled by the CIA - but not for the purpose of disinformation or gate keeping. The CIA runs the site to ensure the emotions of the progressive community remain just above apathy but below effective activism.

DailyKos is owned and operated by Markos Moulitsas Zuniga, who spent six months in the CIA, and in one of those coincidences that don’t happen very often was born on September 11, 1971.

9/11 and ‘Conspiracy Theories’ are forbidden at DailyKos.

[From the rules and guidelines for posting diaries at DailyKos]

DailyKos accepts that the 9/11 attacks were perpetrated by agents of Al-Qaeda. It is forbidden to write diaries that:

  • refer to claims that American, British, Israeli, or any government assisted in the attacks
  • refer to claims that the airplanes that crashed into the WTC and Pentagon were not the cause of the damage to those buildings or their subsequent collapse. Yes, this does include ‘controlled demolition’ of WTC 7.

911 Truthers are Dummies,” published at Dailykos in 2010, was my successful attempt at getting around their rules and guidelines. [1]

Did you know that Pictures of Mini Nukes at PakAlert Prove 9-11 was a Metaphysical Catechism (Test) of the Earth's energy?

911 Truthers are Dummies
By August 4, 2010

[Author’s note about why conspiracy theorists are consistently wrong: All conspiracy theories can be reduced to a supposed discrepancy or anomaly in one official record or another. To the conspiracy theorists the holes in an “official story” are some kind of truth that conspirators are trying to cover up. However, because theorists rarely if ever have any coherent beginning-to-end narrative of what they think happened, the perceived discrepancies constitute the entire basis of their arguments.

What the conspiracy theorists consistently ignore (and rarely does anyone point out) is how simple it would be for the criminals to change or falsify the alleged discrepancy or anomaly. The act of doing so would be trivial compared to the magnitude of other acts the theorists claim the conspirators committed.

It’s getting harder these days to avoid gullible progressive Democrats telling ludicrous fairy tales about 9/11.

Obama Intends Shock and Awe Madness on Syria

September 9th, 2013

by Stephen Lendman

Overwhelming support for peaceful conflict resolution at home and abroad opposes him. It doesn't matter. He plans devastating strikes on Syria.

He ordered an expanded hit list. He wants more targets struck. US and French warplanes will supplement cruise missiles. Reports suggest long range B-2 and B-52 bombing.

An unnamed senior national security official said planned air strikes will damage Syria more in 48 hours than insurgents did in two and a half years.

On September 5, Jonathan Karl said "ABC News has learned the president’s national security team is preparing for a significantly larger military attack than most had anticipated."

Obama with Israel and Against the World

September 9th, 2013

James Petras

Introduction

As President Obama announces plans for another war, adding Syria to the recent and ongoing wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Yemen and elsewhere, a profound gap has emerged between the highly militarized state and US public opinion. A Reuters/IPSOS poll taken August 19-23 (2013) revealed that 60 percent of Americans surveyed were against the United States intervening in Syria, while 9 percent said President Obama should act. Even when the question was ‘loaded’ to include Obama’s bogus and unsubstantiated claim that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s forces ‘used nerve gas to massacre civilians’, almost twice as many Americans oppose US military intervention (46 percent to 25 percent). In panic several pro-Administration media outlets hastily conducted new polls to try to’ improve the results’ in ‘favor’ of the White House desire to attack Syria. What is striking about these finding is that, despite the mass media and the Obama spokespeople’s saturation of the airwaves with lurid images of ‘victims’, the US public has become more vehemently opposed to another imperialist war. Reuters/IPSOS poll of August 13 found 30.2 percent of Americans supported intervention in Syria if it were proved that nerve gas had been used by President Assad against civilians, while 41.6 percent wanted no part of the conflict. In other words, as the Obama regime intensified its preparations for war, American public opposition increased by over 16 percent.

U.S. War with Syria: Think Pyrrhic Victory at Best

September 9th, 2013

by Bill Hughes

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” - George Santayana

Who can ever forget Dubya’s premature freedom rant on board the aircraft carrier, “USS Abraham Lincoln,” way back on May 1, 2003. The backdrop for this slice of national insanity was a huge sign, worthy of Germany’s notorious propaganda minister, Joseph Goebbels. It read: “Mission Accomplished.” Dubya, a failure as president if there ever was one, falsely and recklessly declared to the world “an end to U.S. military operations in Iraq.”

AIPAC Lobbies for War on Syria

September 9th, 2013

by Stephen Lendman

Previous articles discussed the Israeli Lobby's rage for war on Syria. AIPAC and 50 other Zionist organizations endorse it.

They threaten world peace. They want Israeli interests served. Ravaging and destroying Syria does so. Much greater stakes are involved.

Syria is prelude to attacking Iran. It's Israel's prime target. Washington wants subservient pro-Western governance replacing its sovereign independence.

Stop AIPAC!

September 9th, 2013

by Stephen Lendman

AIPAC's a weapon of mass destruction. It fronts for Israel's worst crimes. It promotes war. It threatens world peace.

It menaces humanity's survival. It operates extrajudicially. It's an unregistered foreign agent.

It represents the worst of Israeli interests. It controls US administrations and Congress. It buys politicians like toothpaste.

Stopping its ruthlessness matters most. So does exposing its lawless agenda. Few in Congress dare confront it. Doing so is a career-ender.

AIPAC has virtual decision making authority over war and peace. It assures whatever Israel wants it gets. It spuriously rails against Syria, Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas.

National Security vs Food Insecurity: One in seven hungry in US as Obama preps for more war

September 8th, 2013

By Rady Ananda

The number of starving US citizens during Obama’s terms in office is a whopping one in seven, worse than the global average of one in eight. As he continues to pour several hundred billion dollars into the Middle East war theater that will likely soon include Syria, Congress wants to cut $40 billion in food aid to its constituents.

A recent USDA report reveals that nearly 18 million families, or 49 million people, lacked “food security” which is defined as “consistent, dependable access to enough food for active, healthy living.” Food insecurity is a polite term for starvation.

Question 8 for 9/11 Smarties: How is it possible that 90% of the occupants in the Twin Towers were evacuated safely on September 11, 2001?

September 8th, 2013

By Elizabeth Young

911 is without a doubt the most written about, analyzed and discussed conspiracy in the history of mankind. Yes, even the official story, that 19 fanatical Arab hijackers, masterminded by an evil genius named Osama bin Laden, crashed airplanes into important buildings in the N.E. sector in the United States because they “hate our freedoms,” is a conspiracy between Osama Bin Laden (who isn’t even wanted by the FBI [1q]) and the Arab terrorists who the U.S. government claims hijacked planes and crashed them in to important buildings in the N.E. sector in the United States.

“Conspiracy” is a REAL word for a REAL act that has existed in human societies in all cultures throughout human history. If conspiracies did not exist, we would not have a word for it. The problem that we face today is that the US Government has arrogated to itself a singular role as a political pontificate that believes that it and its agents in the Justice Department, alone, constitute the only “person” (corporate person) on this Earth who is allowed to use the word “conspiracy” as it employs the charge of “conspiracy” every week in trials to put both guilty and innocent people in jail while deriding and discrediting all others who employ the word as “conspiracy theorists.” (Paris Flammonde) [2q]

There are inside, outside and even outside-inside stories (conspiracy theories) about what really happened on 911.

Test your knowledge of the September 11, 2001 stories and see if you can spot the Terrorist Job (the story), The Inside Job/Global Domination (the story behind the story), The Exotic Weapon story (another story behind the story) or The Metaphysical story (the story behind the story behind the story behind the story!)

Obama Making More Enemies Than Friends

September 8th, 2013

by Stephen Lendman

US interventionism is increasingly unpopular. Obama hoped G20 leaders would back his Syrian attack plan. He learned otherwise. He met stiff opposition.

Belligerence is increasingly rejected. America makes more enemies than friends. On September 6, The New York Times headlined "Obama Stymied in Bid to Rally World Leaders on Syria Strike."

He met more opposition than support. "After a dinner debate that lasted into the early morning hours of Friday, Mr. Obama emerged with a few supporters but no consensus."
