WHAT’S REALLY BEHIND QE2?

The deficit hawks are circling, hovering over QE2, calling it just another inflationary bank bailout. But unlike QE1, QE2 is not about saving the banks. It’s about funding the federal deficit without increasing the interest tab, something that may be necessary in this gridlocked political climate just to keep the government functioning.
On November 15, the Wall Street Journal published an open letter to Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke from 23 noted economists, professors and fund managers, urging him to abandon his new “quantitative easing” policy called QE2. The letter said:

We believe the Federal Reserve’s large-scale asset purchase plan (so-called “quantitative easing”) should be reconsidered and discontinued. . . . The planned asset purchases risk currency debasement and inflation, and we do not think they will achieve the Fed’s objective of promoting employment.
Scanners - The Prequel

How did we get to the point of full body scans at airports, the massive personal intrusion that represents, and the tens of millions spent for machines that irradiate us as a consequence of merely flying from here to there?
The proximate cause is the attempted bombing of a December 25, 2009 Northwest airlines flight. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, an engineering student, attempted to mix, then detonate a bomb as Northwest Flight 253 from Amsterdam made its descent to Detroit's Metropolitan Airport. There was furor followed by calls for tighter airport security. Specifically, Michael Chertoff, former Bush Homeland Security chief, claimed full body scanners were the solution. One thing led to another and here we are today. Full body scanners are in 68 airports and planned for 1,000 across the United States by the end of 2011. Those who refuse the full body scans will be subject to "pat-downs, which include searches of passengers' genital areas."
Geoengineering and Climate Change – Evidence Ignored

In the last 20-30 years, in the days since I left school, the issue of Global Warming has been increasingly reported in the press. More recently, the issue has been interchangeably relabelled as “climate change”.
Having watched the development of this issue for this length of time, it has been easy to see its increasing politicisation. This seems to have been made possible because of the confusion which arises in people’s minds between the issues of environmental damage and destruction and that of CO2 emissions from industrial activity. Overall, this has made it significantly more difficult to establish a clear picture of what is actually happening to the climate – and what the cause of any changes really are.
It is clear to me, if to no one else, that there is indeed an agenda in place which assumes that CO2 output from human activities (called Anthropogenic Global Warming – AGW) is one of the main threats to our survival. It is also clear to me that basic scientific data easily calls this assumption into question and those groups, such as the Hadley CRU at the University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom, have not done enough to study the data relating to alternative explanations for climate change (for example, the data which correlates sun or sunspot activity to changes in global temperature [1]).

Stonewalling Goldstone

On September 15, 2009, the UN Human Rights Council's (HRC) Goldstone Commission issued its findings on Cast Lead, Israel's war of aggression against Gaza, inflicting enormous loss of life, thousands of injuries, massive human suffering, and vast destruction, despite no provocation or threat to Israeli security.
The Commission concluded that "there is evidence indicating serious violations of international human rights and humanitarian law committed by Israel during the Gaza conflict, and that Israel committed actions amounting to war crimes, and possibly crimes against humanity."
Foreclosure Fraud Assault - A Cry For Help

Media coverage on foreclosure scams, fraud, and shoddy judicial pleadings has tremendously heightened public awareness about dark sides of home foreclosures. News stories and information have even slightly changed public opinion about foreclosure happening only to borrowers who stupidly got in over their head or used their home as an ATM.
Even so, a foreclosure that entails savagery, fraud, corruption, greed, intrusion, peril, trauma, desolation, shocking deviation from established law and court rules and procedures, and reprisals for whistleblowing and for not relinquishing one's home to sham foreclosure is a riveting story worth being told.
The identity of the victim and the perpetrators are eventually identified in the story. Although not on such a large scale, what happened to this victim has happened elsewhere. As news reports continue to enlighten us about the nuances of mortgage and foreclosure fraud, and more people become able to identify Constitutional deprivations, it will be even clearer the harm our courts are causing.
S.510, Food Control (aka, People Control) for Dummies

The Powers That Be (TPTB, a non-conspiracy acronym) has been trying to get control of our food since 1970. [1]

You and I have been doing a great job for years, but Houston, we have a problem.
Today, 11/17/2010: the greatest threat to our food sovereignty in history, the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2010 (S.510), is on the floor of the U.S. Senate, and the food activists are sitting on the side lines ignoring the pleas for help.
Monsanto uses overt and covert strategies to accomplish their goals. They don’t leave important matters like “food” to chance. Monsanto counted on our apathy from the beginning.
To understand this abnormal behavior, we have to return to the scene of the 2009 crime, when the father of S.510 was introduced into the Congress, HR.875. [2]
The activists were out in force trying to stop HR.875, the bill That Will Kill All Farms and Eat Your Babies.
The problem was that the opposition to HR.875 wasn’t telling the truth about the bill.
The Organic Consumers Association (OCA) tried to counter the disinformation from the opposition.
OCA assured organic advocates that HR.875, the Food Safety and Modernization Act, is only “trying to improve the safety of food products derived from large industrial processing facilities and does not intend to trample organic farmers, backyard gardeners or consumers of fresh local foods.”
But the onslaught from the “controlled” opposition was relentless and continued to spread lies, half-lies and half-truths about HR.875. [3]
Spreading misinformation, misleading or outright false information is not the way to defeat “food safety” legislation. When you make that misinformed, but well-intentioned, call to your Congressman, you are doing exactly what Monsanto wants—coming across as an ill-informed and hysterical extremist.
The Cornucopia Institute and OCA tried to set the record straight with the April 3 press release, Family Farmers Fear Being Run over by Food Safety Juggernaut and sent out a mass e-mail exposing the role of the HR.875 disinformation agents:
Subject: RETRACTION: URGENT! Monsanto Bill to Ban Organic Food:
“Monsanto, or one of their proxy groups, is actually feeding libertarian groups disinformation on this bill. [3]
Unfortunately OCA was too late. Organic food activists were burned out from the emails faxes and phone calls complaining about HR.875 killing their gardens and eating their babies.
No wonder no one is taking S.510 seriously.
In 2009, you got an email that said:
BEWARE THE FOOD POLICE! HR.875/S.425
It Would Nationalize Farming- Destroy Organics- Even Attack Your Private Garden!
In 2010 the emails say:
Really BEWARE of THE FOOD POLICE! S.510
It Would Nationalize Farming- Destroy Organics- Even Attack Your Private Garden!
We were conned by Monsanto last year with a sophisticated disinformation campaign.
But it’s not too late, especially now that the Senate voted for cloture; click here to oppose S.510 Food Safety and S.3767 FDA Criminal Enforcement legislation. [4]

In the UK, more than 50,000 students recently took to the streets to protest a spike in tuition costs.
America's Gulf: An Ongoing Catastrophic Disaster

On August 14, Obama did what he does best, deceiving and betraying the public. Again it was on the Gulf disaster, saying:
"Today, the well is capped, oil is no longer flowing into the Gulf, and it has not been flowing for a month....I also want to point out that as a result of the cleanup effort, beaches all along the Gulf Coast are clean and safe and open for business....But I won't be satisfied until the environment has been restored, no matter how long it takes."
False on all counts. The Macondo well was capped, but video and other evidence show continued leakage, an organization called Concerned Citizens of Florida (CCF), saying:
"....government cannot be relied upon to impart all the information that we need to make informed and necessary decisions. We know that they will not (and have not) respond(ed) quickly (and adequately) enough to this unfolding disaster or perform to the standard that is required to meet it head on." Nor will the major media, "act(ing) as a mouthpiece for both government and industry."
